I first came to the Oregon lox company last year while driving from Florence to Eugene. We stopped in and got a 1-pound package of Nova lox for $14. Subsequently, we drove to San Francisco while returning to San Diego. In San Francisco in the Farmers Market at the ferry building on Sunday, the same exact package of locks from the Oregon lox company was $90! The fish here is outstanding. Today, when I went, my six-year-old daughter entered the store hating salmon and holding her nose. Thanks to Ning, who helpfully offered my daughter and I samples of every kind of locks that they sold, Emily left the store loving salmon and wanting more! She now brags that she likes more Seafood then her sister because of this. All this, and certified kosher, of course.

Sun Valley Lanes – Menu with Prices – 321 Victory Ln, Lincoln

Avoid @SunValleyLanes: TERRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE – As long-time customers and patrons of Sun Valley Lanes, we decided to try the bowling center for my 8 year old daughter’s birthday party. The center was expanding and adding additional technology and games for its customers and we wanted to support that growth. The center seemed to be thriving as it was very clean, every single lane was full, and, as stated, they are building on an expansion on the north side of the building. Everything seemed to be going fine as we arrived early to set things up, but my 4 year old daughter (holding a big bouquet of balloons for her big sister) and I were physically “headed off” or blocked in the middle of the facility by staff who told us we were not allowed to bring outside food or drink into the facility. To be fair, I can understand and even support the policy, but it was confusing and embarrassing for my daughter and I nonetheless. That being said, this situation was clearly an honest misunderstanding as we had brought in Casey’s taco pizza, which is my 8 year old’s favorite meal and her one food request for her birthday. To be perfectly honest, at no point did I hear the staff tell us that we could or could not bring in food when we booked the party a couple weeks earlier, but my wife is certain she was told it was okay.

Distant Lands Coffee – Menu with Prices – 11754 TX-64, Tyler

this was an experience I don’t want to experience again. I haven’t ever worked for a place that was so racially bias, not only the distant lands company but their sister company Tazza Pronto. I was hired to work in a permanent position by the production manager but after a few months when business slowed down and the company was sold to a Japanese company I was moved to distant lands quote ” so the company wouldn’t loose any time and money investing in me by working in the shipping department but yet I was put in the shipping department at the other company and was replaced with a Hispanic guy at the sister company. This story is more detailed than I write about but basically I was let go the same day the Hispanic guy was rolled over with the company, who knew no more than I did if anything less. Everyone from the production manager to the traffic manager was behind this so they could save one of their own from losing their job.

Ben & Jerry’s – Menu with Prices – 3801 Hillsborough St, Raleigh

We visited this place on july 3 around 9:15 pm. After a long tiring day, we decided to enjoy a Ben and Jerry Ice cream. My one year old daughter loves their ice creams. She gets excited and screams with joy while eating their ice-creams. There was a lady who was behind the counter came to my 1 year old daughter’s face and told her “I’LL HAVE TO KICK YOU OUT IF YOU MAKE NOISE” and then says “JUST KIDDING!” This kind of comment was inappropriate. My wife felt very bad and we decided to leave the store that very moment. My wife then cried a lot in the car on the comments which were made. There was nobody else in the store and my daughter was disturbing nobody. Such a rude comment to my baby was not even required. I’ll never go to this place again.

Chani?s Kosher Take-Out – Menu with Prices – 22 Newton Ave, Worcester

A friend and I were looking for kosher food and discovered this Thursday-only delight. It is a buffet of meats, fish, a variety of chopped salads, chicken soup, kugel, everything. It is sold mostly for takeout, by the pound, at reasonable prices. We were were welcomed by the Chabad rabbi, whose synagogue we were dining in. I had meatballs and a variety of salads, all delicious. My friend had salmon and salads and was wowed. Not much on atmosphere, just a multipurpose room used for delicious kosher food one night a week. Kol hakavod!

Williams Fried Chicken – Menu with Prices – 1102 W Gentry Pkwy, Tyler

Avoid this place by all means! They don’t ever have food and their service is absolutely horrible! Save your time and money and go elsewhere. This isn’t a good Williams chain and what’s sad is the owners don’t care. You’re also not safe around there after dark from all the loitering and illegal activities Can the owner or someone who cares about their Tyler Texas location operations and how it’s ran please contact me? I’ve never in my life had such a horrible experience as I do here. I’m from Dallas and was raised on this chicken but I’m sorry, but the Hispanic lady you have running this location is not only costing your company money, but it’s making Williams chicken look really bad. They even had a person a few weeks back holding up signs in front of your store and I just laughed it off until I go back today after the last incident on March 8, 2019 and once again they tell me they won’t have chicken for 2-3 hours. How many mistakes do you Allow someone to make? You obviously do not care about customer complaints, or you wouldn’t keep on having the same customers complain because who don’t have chicken strips at a chicken place? Especially on a Friday? I’m beginning to think your company don’t appreciate the knowledge or appreciate the feedback so your store can improve and satisfy customers. It’s very sad what you guys allow this store to continuously get away with. That store you can’t even go to at night without worrying for your safety with all the loitering allowed at night because of the neighboring car wash and night club and pool hall. I can’t believe this makes the 5th time this year and here I go driving 30 miles out of my way for the best chicken around and they are out once again. Shame shame

Villa Del Rey Cocina Mexicana – Menu with Prices – 720 Schillinger Rd S, Mobile

Seriously the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to and I eat out to Mexican restaurants weekly. My sister tried this place first and told me how great it was so I planned my daughter’s party here on a short notice! I called about 30 minutes before we got there and asked them to reserve a table for a party. We had no wait time and made it there in timeIt was amazing our waiter was on point! Never had to wait on a refill kept our glasses filled and checked on us. Food was brought out quickly and correct. The food was great! My husband had a few margaritas and they were good and at a great price when we went. even for a party of 12 he did an amazing job and me and my sister left a large tip! Made my daughter feel so special for her birthday they genuinely was excited for her being her birthday and talked with her making her feel like the only girl in the room and she ate it up. She is a sassy 8 year old now. I would recommend this place over any others that I’ve been to! Very nice and clean comfortable setting. They even have a special candle for the birthday girl that was like fireworks or something my daughter was thrilled to say the least everyone in the restaurant loved the candle they used for her! Thanks again for making my daughter’s day so special! We will be returning very soon!!

Paper Source – Menu with Prices – 2061 Chestnut St, San Francisco

Wow, after reading about the same experience I had when I returned a $32 candle with RECEIPT at the Chestnut Street Paper Source I have to speak out. Paper Source, one bad social media post is going to spread bad will like wild fire. Ever hear the saying, “You get more bees with honey than vinegar?” I received dirty looks because I was returning an item that was purchased from the San Jose location Paper Source to the San Francisco Chestnut store. I was questioned, “Did I just wander into the location?” which I finally figured out they were mad at me for buying it in San Jose and returning it in San Francisco. It so happens I work down the street and it was convenient to go to their location. My daughter bought it in San Jose and has finals this week at the University so I offered to return it for her. I can’t believe they would even question me. I’ve got news for you, when you buy a Paper Source franchise, it comes with the territory that people will return stuff to your store from all over the Bay Area, just as the other Paper Source stores will get returns at their store from the Chestnut location. You signed up for it and know better. I have never been so HARASSED by salespeople and a manager Iike this, and it took almost 15 minutes to get them to type in all the information to get the return. I have never seen such mean spirited BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Customers are treated to this passive aggressive behavior. The service STINKS.

Virginia ABC – Menu with Prices – 43 Town and Country Dr, Fredericksburg

So this place is always empty… Winter…summer…empty…I’m guessing not that many people like to drink …the store is nice an clean… Nice selection of alcoholic beverages…there’s about five selections in the store…rum, gin, scotch, tequila and vodka…they organized it all in brand so its easy to find as well … There’s only one person that work there I’m guessing because the store is always empty…but I remember asking her a question and without getting out of the counter she easily pointed it out …that’s how organized this place is… Never actually been to an ABC store this is actually my first…hope this review is helpfully lol

Newman’s Fish Company – Menu with Prices – 1545 Willamette St, Eugene

Have to admit that when I think of great seafood spots, Eugene has never registered in the top, well, you name the # and they likely arenâ??t in it. However, I grabbed lunch with friends from the outdoor food window at Newmanâ??s Fish Company and letâ??s just say Iâ??ve had to reorder my list! Kept it simple with the cod fish & chips which were solid. But, the star of the lunch was the chowder. Piping hot, thick and chewy and filled with clams, I would put it up against anything the Oregon Coast has to offer. With cod, halibut, salmon, shrimp, scallops, etc., there are plenty of choices to quench your thirst for the bounty of the sea. A handful of shaded picnic tables provided a respite from the mid-July sun. Definitely a place to revisit!

Spruce Flowers and Events – Menu with Prices – 1621 E Hennepin Ave #225, Minneapolis

I’ve ordered flowers for my sister from here twice and opted for the designer arrangement both times. I live in Texas and wanted to give my sister (who loves flowers) something better than mainstream/corporate companies, but I needed a company with a modern online ordering option. Spruce has gone above and beyond both times. Their website is easy to use and easy to order on. I had no confusion or uncertainty about costs or delivery addresses. In terms of quality, my sister has LOVED both arrangements. I’ve seen pictures and they are beautiful. This last time, for her birthday, I ordered her a “whimsical” designer arrangement and was worried when I hadn’t heard anything on delivery. I emailed the company and Elise responded within minutes and assured me her flowers were on their way. I will always use them to send her flowers for as long as she is in the Minneapolis/St Paul area.

Fuel Juice Bar – Menu with Prices – 284 Broadway, Brooklyn

I went to fuel juice bar today and ordered some lunch to go. I went with my friend Emily and my sister Morgan. We all ordered something different. Emily ordered a açaí bowl which is always phenomenal. My sister ordered the tuna sandwich which was also very good. I wanted to order the chicken fajita bowl but I was told that it would be a while and if I was willing to wait. So instead I ordered the salmon bowl and I was less than impressed by this dish. Even after not getting the dish I wanted and settling for my second choice, we still waited approximately 25 minutes to get the food and it wasn’t crowded. The lettuce in the salmon bowl was clearly not washed and every BITE was grainy and inedible. They have good food but I wouldn’t recommend the salmon bowl. Sucks I wasted my time and $16 for something I can’t even f***ing eat.

Twin Spirits Distillery & Twin Spirits M Coffee Shop – Menu with Prices – 2931 Central Ave NE, Minneapolis

I visited this establishment in the company of my parents and sister. I am 35 and forgot my ID. I was carded and told I could not partake in the enjoyment of adult beverages. Fine. I’ll have a water. My parents and sister order cocktails. The drinks are served. I grab my dad’s Sazerac and raise it to my nose yearning to enjoy just a pleasurable waft of the forbidden concoction. Yet this experience, an innocent attempt to appreciate these purportedly fine spirits in a manner still legally possible at this stage, was violently trumped by the manager yelling at me scornfully from across the bar, “Don’t! Don’t! You cannot drink without an ID!”. And so I was denied even an olfactory testimonial of this watering hole’s home-crafted product. Ashamed, criminalized and melting under the stares of other patrons, I set the drink back down on the table and slumped like a sad stooge on my stool. I will not return, ever. Not even with my ID. Because this place is not about fancy firewater as I had hoped. Yep, forget all about coming here for premium spirits! Forget all about distillation! Only professionally impure, mean, power-tripping spirits are to be found on these premises! Take your thirst far from here, my friends! For here spirits are crushed and not distilled and for here one’s thirst for a bit of joy is never to be quenched!
