We went a bit out of our way to try this place for the first time. Curious to see if it lived up to the hype. Well, it did not disappoint in the least. It is a small Dinor, so there will likely be a wait if you go on the weekend or peak times, but they do get people in fast enough. We chatted with a few folks as we waited and glad we did, as they gave us some tips on what to order. They raved about the Greek Sauce and told us if we really liked it that they sold the seasoning to make it. So we were willing to give it a try. Once we were seated, we were quickly approached for our order. We went with the big breakfast of eggs, sausage, potatoes and pancakes. Didn’t want to commit to the Omelette with Greek sauce so I got it on the side to try. It also lived up to the hype! Absolutely delicious and it was incredible on the breakfast potatoes as well as the cheese omelette also ordered. Coffee was great and service was super friendly and fast. It really was like going back in time. So next time I want to travel back, I will commit to the Greek sauce! We enjoyed everything we ordered. We did appreciate the earlier tip and brought back some Greek Sauce Seasoning and made it with ground Turkey instead and it was amazing. Perfection on the spice, it was fabulous.

Rollin Lobstah – Menu with Prices – 964 Airport Rd SW, Huntsville

Went with the family for Sunday brunch. I ordered the lobster and gouda cheese omelette and it was very good. The lobster was plentiful and the gouda added a very nice flavor. The omelette was a very good size. It is served with pan fried potatoes which are always delish. Dad ordered the lobster benedict and it was good. It also came with the potatoes. Brother ordered the crabcakes and they looked good. My only comment on the lobster is that it had a different look than usual. It had a red/orange tint, it must be some sort of seasoning that they put on it, but really lobster doesnâ??t need anything added. Will go back, just curious about the seasoning on the lobster.

Karla’s Beach House – Menu with Prices – 3248 E Ocean View Ave, Norfolk

I loved but my friend had what she considered serious problems with her food. We both agreed the house coffee was great! We had different breakfast meals. She had an omelette with cheddar cheese ( I think) and other meat a vegetables. Her issue was the omelette was over cooked. She described it to the owner as being burnt. I would have described it as well done. She noted that she wanted no under done whites but as is it was unacceptable. The owner sent it back. A few minutes later an omelette returned. My friend checked the omelette carefully. Finally, she opened it and it appeared that they took they turned the omelette inside out. Put the original contents in the new inside and cheese on the outside. Then brought it back. The owner took it off the bill. I agree with my friend that the returned final omelette was the same omelette and the was sneaky. I’m not so certain the first omelette wasn’t done properly.

T.C. Eggington’s – Menu with Prices – 1660 S Alma School Rd #129, Mesa

Fantastic place for breakfast. Greeted promptly when we arrived, got sat immediately. Not too busy at noon on a Sunday. They have a very extensive menu, lots of omelettes and other egg dishes. Our server Grace came to our table shortly after we sat down and took our drink order. We both got coffee. Nice touch on the table was a carafe of ice water. Coffee came in a pot left at the table. I got the crab puff pastry and hubby got the Eggington omelette. Our entrees came out quickly and were hot and delicious. There was so much crab on my entree and hubby said the omelette had lots of chicken in it. Potatoes were good tasting. The jam for hubby’s English muffin was homemade by the restaurant and was apple and cinnamon. I had a bite and it was delicious! Great service. Great food. We will be back. They do offer mimosas and a few other alcoholic drinks. I signed up for their club to get notified about new food items and also I will get a free mimosa for my birthday. Who can resist that?

Braz Coffee Shop – Menu with Prices – 108 E Dakin Ave, Kissimmee

This was the fourth time I came for breakfast at brass Café, and I always enjoyed it so far. Again this morning I ordered my café latte and my breakfast a total of $10 worth. My coffee wasn’t that hard so I asked for a 2nd cup after I finish the first one, by that time I had received my omelette. The youngster at the counter wanted me to come up and pay for my second cuppa coffee and I said well, let me eat my hot meal first and I also would like to have a take out dinner. He refused and told me that the bus would not except that. I am a 73-year-old lady, recently widowed with a bad back, heart disease and COPD. Even though I paid a tip I still had to get up for my first cuppa coffee and get it from the counter because apparently he would not bring it to me, So what do I tip for? Bad service? The lady who cooked omelette has always been very kind polite and sweet but she was. In the kitchen area. Needless to say I ate my breakfast without anything to drink I did not get my second cuppa coffee so I did not order my take-out order. Needless to say I will never come back usually I brought neighbors or friends which I won’t do either. So you lost $$ And a customer today because of a rude youngster who has no manners!

Morrison Management Specialists – Menu with Prices – 250 N Wickham Rd, Melbourne

Two words. Thai omelette. I don’t work at the hospital…I haven’t ever been a patient. I just happen to work nearby. At my office, I kept hearing people rave about the cafe at the hospital, specifically about the friendly and eccentric Thai cook who works behind the counter and her amazing Thai omelette. I was intrigued. First, this woman is absolutely hilarious. She alone is enough of a reason to go get breakfast at a hospital cafe..but this omelette…oh my gosh!!! It’s stuffed with this sweet and spicy Thai sausage and covered with some sort of magical sauce she created. I’m drooling just thinking about it. Be warned though, the omelette is pretty darn spicy! Perfect, in my opinion, but may not be for everyone. If you like a little kick, but not all that heat, show up on a Thursday morning when she does the Thai burrito. It’s a burrito version of the omelette but with a lot less sausage and sauce and not nearly as spicy. Note that they only do the Thai omelette on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and the burrito is only on Thursday’s. There are no “Thai” options on Mondays, and I’m unsure of the weekend selection. The non-Thai options are very good as well though, and it’s reasonably priced. It’s also a very clean and well kept facility. You certainly don’t feel like you’re eating in a hospital cafeteria, that’s for sure!

Catfish Willy’s Seafood & Crab Shack – Menu with Prices – 5720 E Virginia St, Evansville

My first time visiting will probably be my last. It took forever to get our food and then it was wrong. I ordered 2 lbs of snow crab with Chesapeake seasoning and no potatoes. One other in our group ordered 1 lb of snow crab with Cajun seasoning and potatoes. I ended up with 2 lbs of crab with Cajun seasoning. The other person got 1 lb of crab with Chesapeake seasoning and potatoes. We traded dishes. The manager came out and said she would bring me another lb of crab and I could keep the potatoes and they would bring the other person an order of potatoes. She also told us she wouldn’t charge him for the extra lb of crabs legs. I thought that was big of her since he didn’t order them. My husband ordered salmon that was not cooked in the middle at all. The manager said they cook their salmon al dente so it’s not dried out! I thought al dente was pasta or rice, not salmon. The fried okra was very good as was the crab dip and gator fries. It was a cute place, too bad the service was horrible. I think the problems were definitely kitchen based.

Big Eyed Fish – Menu with Prices – 1502 N Wells St, Fort Wayne

Update 7/21/19 Took my mom here for breakfast, first time, always only had lunch or dinner. First & foremost, had great service from Shanita. Beyond pleasant & some of the best service you could get. Five stars for the service. Refreshing to see such a genuine smile & attentive service. A level of service I generally see at high end restaurants, exemplary. Mom had an omelette (your choice of 3 ingredients) hash browns, raisin toast & included coffee. I had 2 eggs, toast & coffee ($2.50). Both together were under $10, including 2 cups of coffee. Can’t beat that for a hot breakfast served by a smiling face. While I like the fish here a lot, the breakfast blew me away. I wish I had tried it sooner, who knew ??

Beach Break Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1802 S Coast Hwy, Oceanside

The worst thing I can say about this place is that the cute artwork in the woman’s bathroom had sea creatures with faces! Seriously, this place was good. We got there at the peak of breakfast service (9:30 a.m.), walked in from the wrong door (I think it was the service door into the patio!) all through the dining room looking for a hostess, only to realize the hostess counter was at the complete opposite side! My bad! TChecking in to see how long the wait was, my daughter didn’t want to wait 25 minutes to be be seated. We started to leave and headed for the correct door this time! But one of the nice servers had an open table for two perfect for us. What luck! We ordered quickly and we were served quickly. The food was good and the portions hearty. Service by Genesea was on point. Checking in on us often even with a busy house! I had the Mexican Surf & Turf Omelette with homestyle potatoes & the coffee cake – which my hubby swiped from me! But from the free bites the had, it was delicious!! The Omelette ha carne asada, scallops, shrimp, guacamole, cheese & topped with pico de gallo (sorry if I missed any ingredients, B. B. Cafe!). Very tasty!

Joanne’s Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1141 N Mountain Ave, Ontario

Grabbed breakfast here with a friend this morning and was immediately reminded how good this place is! It’s a classic restaurant with genuine home-cooked food at a great price. It’s a hidden gem in the city of Ontario and seemingly everyone’s go-to breakfast spot after church on Sundays. They have an extensive menu and it’s hard to choose what to order. I landed on a meat lovers omelette which came with cheese, sausage, bacon, and ham and they did NOT skimp on the meat (or cheese). It came with a side of hashbrowns and I paid a bit extra for a side of pancakes instead of toast (because their pancakes are delish). The hashbrowns were a bit basic so I will probably try the breakfast potatoes next time instead, but overall my meal hit the spot. Service was excellent and our coffee and tea were never empty. We had a lot of catching up to do and they didn’t harass us to give up our table even though they get busy. They have a decent-sized parking lot connected to the restaurant and street parking not too far for overflow. I highly recommend everyone check out this spot and say hello to the turtles and koi fish in front for me!

J. Christopher’s Menu with Prices 1650 S Lumpkin St, Athens

I came into town and tired to find a place that specializes in breakfast and brunch and cake across this place. It’s set up very homey and I really enjoyed the setting. Their menu is easily to understand and set out very well. I ordered the eggs Christopher and the blueberry pancakes. It was absolutely delicious. But I would definitely substitute the tomatoes for avocado. The eggs Benny were cooked perfectly!! The pancakes were also delicious! I highly reccomend this order. Coffee was good as well. Service was excellent and extremely quick. The only reason I reduced the review by one star was because the food was slightly cold when it got to us. Mind you, the service was so fast, but the food was slightly less than warm which was a surprise. Especially the potatoes that came with the meal, they were colder. I would come here again though, because it was that tasty.

Verre Wine Bar Menu with Prices 2415 Wilson Blvd, Arlington

Decided to try Verre today for lunch and I’m so happy I did! It was my first time there and I really enjoyed it – and I didn’t even sample the wines, so I’m looking forward to going back. The interior is really nice with a ton of natural light, and their menu is great. They have what I think is an amazing lunch special – a full sandwich, a full side, and a coffee or tea for $9.95. Can you get that anywhere else in Clarendon? I don’t think so. I got the chicken and brie sandwich, and our server was very accommodating when I asked for it to be served without bread. I got the Greek salad as my side, and Swings coffee. The sandwich was delicious and was plated very nicely (forgot to take a picture) and the dijonnaise and fig jam on the side were a really nice complement. The Greek salad was nice – great greens, tasty tomatoes, peppers, onions, and great herbed feta with a tasty Greek dressing. My friend got a really hearty-looking sandwich and the Greek salad side. We both felt like this was a great value for a nice lunch! They had lots of other good options, too, so I highly recommend!
