When I found myself needing to kill some time in Evansville waiting on a friend, I “yelp searched” coffee shops nearby. Proper Coffee happened to have great reviews and was very close to my location at the time! This is a very trendy, modern-ly decorated coffeeshop, which was so fun to experience! The employee working was patient and helpful as I took time deciding what I wanted to enjoy during my first visit. I decided on an iced coffee with some cream and was delighted with my choice! If you are looking to meet a friend for a chat, have a small business meeting, or just hang out, this is a great place for it! And during my visit here, there were people doing all of the above! Proper Coffee offers a variety of seating options, many which offer outlets nearby! The coffee shop is attached to a salon school, which I thought was kind of an interesting combination. When asking to use the restroom, I was pointed in the direction through the salon to use their facility. This seemed odd to me, but I was okay with it, nonetheless. I will say, however, the restroom was not very clean and was out of paper towels. It was the middle of the day, so I was a little concerned about this. Because I am not sure if this is truly the fault of Proper Coffee or not, I am choosing to still give 5 stars; I feel it represents them the best, overall. Although I would love to see this coffee shop stand alone, separate from the hair salon, I suppose I can see the benefits of having the two together. All in all, I would suggest checking this place out!

Paletas la Desi – Menu with Prices – 1679 Middle Tennessee Blvd, Murfreesboro

This was my second visit here and now that I live nearby I will frequent the business more often. The choices here are so plentiful! There are more than 20 home made popsicles to choose from, three different types of chocolate covered bananas, more than 15 cream based ice creams and more than 10 ice based scoop-able (think like an Italian ice). There is also fresh fruit in fruit juice and/or syrups plus…if that made you cold just to read it they have coffee and espresso. The staff is bilingual with Spanish being their first language but on neither visit did I have any communication issues. The restroom were clean & so was the dining room. After your visit here you should walk off your calories at the bargain store that is nearby.

Carytown Tobacco – Menu with Prices – 1701 E Main St, Richmond

Been a customer since the place opened. Just left. After using the restroom the owner says “I told you the restroom isn’t open to the public” to which I replied you didn’t. The restroom has no sign saying employees only. I can understand if there was a sign up or if the owner actually said something to me, but neither is the case. To treat a customer that frequents the store in that manner is unacceptable. There is another cigar shop across the street which will treat you better and allow their paying customers to use the restroom.

UhmazeBowls – Menu with Prices – 6881 Daniels Pkwy, Fort Myers

My wife and I have been to this location multiple times by now and the “bowls” aren’t bad however the prices are steep (even for this area where everything is jacked up higher than the national average since Fort Myers is considered a “resort” town and populated by rich retirees). Also, I don’t feel that the staff is particularly well trained. Every time we have been there, the young pre-pubescent girl stands there with her mouth gaping open, unable to formulate speech. Either we’re both that good looking or she’s not trained to say “hello, how can I help you?” or “hi, can I help you?” The decor itself is not bad, but it’s certainly not better than Starbucks or any other little coffee shop, either. Cheap tables, stools, artificial plants from the local dollar store and cute “go getter” sayings on the walls and that’s about it. If they have a restroom at all, it’s visibly not clear – but you can always easily see the closet with a mop bucket in it and the trash can nearby. For Fort Myers to even have a “smoothie in a bowl” place is a huge deal. It’s still shocking that they would have such a thing here, but the fact that it’s near some colleges is the reason for it’s existence. So I”m grateful it’s even here in such an isolated retirement area; but it could certainly be better. More affordable prices for working-class citizens, better customer service, better restaurant or coffee shop decor (whatever direction they want to go in), more choices, and also it’s not always clear if you’re in a hurry which is a smoothie thingee in a cup or which is a slurpee in a bowl thingee. It’s also good to know that if you get a “bowl” it’s going to be virtually impossible to digest that baby while driving – plus it’s likely to turn to slush within minutes of pulling out. So it’s good but could be improved upon.

Restoration Roasters – Menu with Prices – 2331 Kellogg Ave, Corona

Ideal coffee shop vibe in Corona, and is a great place to study I rate all coffee shops i go to exclusively by how nice of an interior they have, and how conducive they are to getting work done. This place was nicely designed, had ample seating, and serviceable wifi. Coffee was decent too. Unfortunately the music playlist in here the day i went SUCKED. I had to wear headphones since it wasn’t your typical background coffee shop music, it was just some generic light pop music that was just way to intrusive… Loses a star for this. Fortunately, i had noise cancelling headphones on me and was thus able to focus. There is apparently no restroom in the building, and you have to go across and into the church to use the restroom? Honestly a bit of a hassle. I’d remove another star for this reason, but you know, these guys donate their profits to the rescue mission or something, so that’s definitely more than enough to make up for it. I’d rate them 5 stars to show my approval for the service based mission of this place, but i want to get the point across that the music playlist was almost a deal breaker. I’ll be back though

Healthy Life Salon Menu with Prices 203 SE 1st Ave, Boca Raton

You will be very happy you came to this salon. My first appointment was for a color, cut and style from the owner Juli. Previously, I had been “salon hopping” trying to find just ONE salon that can achieve both an excellent color and cut….. its usually been just one or the other. I have finally found it! Her salon is very unique with pure hair and skin products and an assortment of organic teas and wine. It was a personal, relaxing experience and I felt very cared for while I was there. Juli believes in clean products for your skin and hair and is knowledgable re both. Her 30 years as a stylist place her skill level way above other stylists I have been to. She is excellent at what she does and takes her time in getting everything just right. I am grateful that I went to her salon yesterday and especially LOVE the end result…..no disappointments here!!! Dr. Patricia Pavkovich

Christopher’s Hair Studio – Menu with Prices – 3033 Walnut St, Boulder

I was referred by a dear friend to Laurie Rhodes, the salon’s owner, over 5 years ago and don’t have ANY regrets. The products she and the other stylists use are predominantly plant-based AND I love how my hair has become much healthier over time. I also love the salon’s very warm and friendly atmosphere–everyone is ALWAYS so welcoming. Oh, and did I mention what a wonderful colorist AND stylist Laurie is?!??

Virginia ABC – Menu with Prices – 405 30th St, Virginia Beach

Lots to choose from, but you are sure to find something. I believe this store is the only one located near the oceanfront area. Of course you have several 7-eleven’s, CVS, Walgreens… but an ABC store… yeah come here! The staff is super pleasant here and are always willing to suggest something tasty. I walked in knowing what I wanted, but quickly decided to put back a $12 bottle of vodka and opted for miniatures that equaled the same price for that one bottle. I was able to choose from a variety of liquors and purchase a pack of four sex on the beach shots for my friend. Sharing is caring ? The parking lot is super small, but usually those that shop here already know what they want. You mainly see people pull up and within five minutes they are out. This store is located on a corner, but it may be hard to spot if you are not familiar with the area. But ask around, I am sure the locals can point you in the right direction. Harris Teeter and Farm Fresh are nearby. Several shops and eateries are nearby as well. This location is about 10 minutes away (by foot) from the oceanfront. So it’s definitely worth the walk if you are staying on the oceanfront. Have fun and enjoy life ?

Pony Espresso – Menu with Prices – 1580 Summit Lake Dr, Tallahassee

Drove off i10 to find a restroom and coffee. We happened to see this place and pulled in. The employees were very accommodating to my need for a flat white. The woman made a perfect cup of coffee! They were so friendly and we all chatted while my coffee was made. My daughter absolutely loved the husky. I would definitely recommend this coffee shop and hope to stop back by on our way home.

Offset Coffee – Menu with Prices – 24416 Crenshaw Blvd #1, Torrance

I can’t… 1st Visit: Passed by this coffee shop a few times. A friend suggested we meet there. Noticed the construction going on. We managed to get a parking space in front of the coffee shop but parking was super tight. When we walked in to order, we noticed that the (owners/ managers) people who seemed to be part of the coffee shop were talking in the middle of the small coffee shop but did not greet us which was ok, but they were in the way. We stood in line, but somehow went unnoticed to the employees for a few minutes. Because we were meeting a friend, we couldn’t just leave. Finally, I got the attention of the lady behind the counter and I ordered pastries and coffees. Meanwhile, i noticed that the 2 gentlemen who seemed to be part of the operations kept opening the door and the asphalt smell kept creeping into the coffee shop. I noticed that a customer left because she couldn’t sit outside (because of the smell). My lavender latte was average but their avocado toast was pretty good. Also tried their iced Horchata, it was good but a bit too sweet. Spent $69 on semi good lattes, and good roasts. Promised myself I’d visit them again before writing a review. 2nd Visit: Went with my sister as she lives close by. Service was 4/10. Again, we were the only 2 in line and there were 2 employees behind the counter but yet it took several minutes to greet us. The Horchata was sweeter this time than last. My sister loved her rose latte but her avocado toast tasted tangy (maybe too much lemon)? There were only 5 people inside the place but the parking was full so we had to park next door. Spent $36… I can’t go back to a place that was disappointing 2x. Really sad. Was REALLY hoping it would be my go to coffee shop

Bikes and Beans Menu with Prices 1350 S Vista Ave, Boise

Had no expectations going into this new spot and I was pleasantly surprised by how cool it is! Literally a bike shop and coffee shop mixed into to one awesome place! Greeted right away by the southern belle barista and found out that the coffee shop is not messing around when it comes to there coffee. Felt like the barista was quite knowledgable about the variety of coffees offered here. Lots of seating for a group of friends to get together also couple of outside tables. My coffee was excellent and service was superior! Highly recommend and I will return sooner than later! Don’t hesitate to visit this cool coffee shop

Turks Coffee Bar – Menu with Prices – 1276 Commercial Dr, Vancouver

Cute little coffee shop on The Drive with yummy coffee and a patio perfect for people-watching. My friend and I stopped in here after brunch to grab some lattes to go. For me a vanilla almond milk latte and for my pal a regular vanilla latte. I loved my little caffeine fix. I’m not sure if it was the coffee itself, the vanilla, or the almond milk, but whatever those baristas did, I really, really enjoyed my latte. Seems like a great place to hang out and catch up with a friend or post up and get some work done. It’s quite small in here, so I can imagine that it would get full quickly, especially on a warm, sunny day. Overall, yummy coffee, friendly baristas, and cute decor from other local businesses. While there are plenty of coffee shops on The Drive, this one will definitely be one of my top ones to visit and recommend.

The Looking Glass Beauty Lounge Menu with Prices 3514, 12717 Hooper Rd, Baton Rouge

This is the ONLY salon in town that anyone should use. I have been to many many salons and this place is something like you would find in the high end salons in New York or Los Angeles ð???. They keep current with all the techniques with coloring and cutting. If you are looking for the most current, advanced services of a salon, you will find it here. I use the owner, ??Shauntelle Fisher??, but ALL of the stylists are top notch. Stop getting the same old hilights and lowlights and come experience what this salon can do for your color. This place is a masterpieceâ?â?â?â? ð???ð???ð???ð???ð???
