First things first thanks to fellow Yelper Alexis B. for posting about this place on IG or else I would’ve never known this place existed!! Once I saw her food and went to Yelp and saw all the yummy pictures I knew I had to give this place a try, I love seafood and especially grilled seafood so this was a must on my trip. FishBonz is kind of easy to miss as I passed it up 3 times and almost gave up lol but once I found it then I was happy. I love the interior of the restaurant it is really chic and modern, plenty of seating as there are two levels. They have a nice large digital menu along with specials posted on the walls. They have a nice variety of items to order so prepare to be ready everything because it all sounded yummy. After glancing over the menu for a short time I finally narrowed down what I wanted to order. I ordered the Filet Mignon and Shrimp Skewers ($11.99) which comes with two sides, I ordered rice and roasted corn. Then I added their famous Shrimp Taquitos ($7.99) that I’ve seen everyone raving about. I also got a free drink via checking in on Yelp. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my food which is fine since the food is cooked to order and let me tell you they do not slack on the food presentation when you order your food to go. It looked absolutely delicious. The filet mignon skewers were cooked medium well and they were so good, they had a great flavor and were tender. The shrimp skewers were good as well but were lacking the garlic butter flavor, maybe I should’ve gotten extra garlic butter but they were good. The rice, roasted corn and bread were good as well, can’t really go wrong with those. But the real star of the meal were the shrimp taquitos, omg they were amazing! Biting through that crunchy tortilla into that nice plump shrimp was heaven and the toppings gave it so much flavor. It was topped with cheese, pico de gallo, cilantro, jalapenos and some type of green sauce. I definitely wish I got two orders of those, they were so good. All in all the food here was great, the staff was great and I will be back!

Clever Leaf – Menu with Prices – 3751 S Harbor Blvd F, Santa Ana

This is now my FAVORITE go-to place when I’m craving a fresh delicious salad with meat skewers! For $7, order the pork salad and you won’t regret it! Each order comes with 3 skewers of grilled lemongrass pork. SO. GOOD. And these are not skimpy meat skewers that one would typically see at the OC Night Market or during the Tet festival! The lemongrass pork is sometimes a little on the spicy side, so taste-test it first before letting your little kiddos take a skewer. The salad itself is not just your run-of-the-mill romaine lettuce…they give you the good spring-mix stuff with thin slices of red onions and tomatoes AND they really stuff their container with it! Their dressing is awesome! And did I mention their containers are super cute?? I bought 6 orders of this salad to treat my coworkers for lunch this week, and everyone asked me where the food was from. I even got this for teacher appreciation week for one of my children’s teacher, and everyone in the teachers’ lounge asked him where he got it, lol. The filet mignon skewers are also SO DAMN GOOD. Portions of beef on these skewers are–again–amazing, and for $9 such a great lunch deal with leftovers. Only thing I didn’t care for was the shaken beef that comes with rice/salad. The shaken beef is not the same as the filet mignon skewers so skip that and just order the skewers and go home make your own rice. Also, the salmon is not worthy of this place. My 13 year old boy LOVES grilled salmon or salmon anything, but he only gave this place a shrug when asked how he liked their salmon dish. Free garlic noodles with check-in was nice, but 10 year old daughter says it’s not garlicky enough…so please add more garlic if anyone at Clever Leaf is reading this ? All in all, I love ordering to-go salads here for a quick lunch or even dinner. So much meat on their skewers, so much salad in their containers. So much healthier than a combo at McDonalds! I’m praying this place never goes out of business!!

Granny’s Fresh Seafood & Crabs – Menu with Prices – 2815 Lipscomb St, Melbourne

Even though I’m not a seafood (shell fish) person, I took my older sister here for her birthday since she had a craving for some crabs. Somebody told me about this place, so I figured we would give it a try. Since I don’t eat shell fish, I ordered the garlic butter Tilapia platter which came with potatoes, corn and sausage. I also ordered an additional side of sausage and corn. The only thing I have to compare my experience with is the way my family cooks seafood when they have a fish fry. So I know great flavor when I taste it. The Tilapia was very moist, and they gave me a lot of potatoes and sausage which came with one short sweet corn on the cob. The Corn was magnificent. It was balanced in its flavor and satisfied my taste buds. The Tilapia with the Garlic butter seasoning lacked the flavor I was hoping to experience. The sliced sausages was ok. I wasn’t feeling the type of sausage used. My sister order 2 separate orders of the crab platter, one seasoned in garlic butter and the other in Cajun and she liked them both, but liked the Cajun even more for the crabs. I didn’t think what I experienced was better than the way my family cooks seafood, with the exception of the corn, lol. So I wasn’t impressed, but Its definitely a place to try…Good for takeout. They just opened in May in 2018, so I’m sure there’s a lot needed to be worked out. But I’m not quite sure if I would come here again. The lady behind the counter was nice, and gave us big portions. However, we did wait an hr for our food. So it would be very wise to call ahead and place your order.

Port of Call Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1425 E 27th St, Tacoma

We stayed at La Quinta and did not feel like going out for dinner so we thought we would try the hotel restaurant., We were debating between just ordering room service or having a sit-down meal in the restaurant. We opted for the restaurant and had a very nice experience. We went on a Friday evening, around 7pm, and the restaurant was not very busy – only about 4 other tables occupied. The decor was nice and comfortable. My husband ordered bacon wrapped filet mignon and prawns and I ordered the bacon wrapped filet mignon – both with the garlic mashed potatoes. Our dinner came with steamed veggies that were very tasty. The steaks were wonderful – cooked just the way we ordered and good quality. My only complaint (if you could call it that) was that I wish they had used more of a seasoning on the steak when they cooked it. The garlic mashed potatoes were tasty. Our server was fabulous! Our meal was delivered in a timely fashion. All of the staff was very helpful and courteous. Next time we stay in the Tacoma area, we will definitely remember this restaurant.

Cajun Seafood & Wings – Menu with Prices – 4221 Pleasant Valley Rd suite121&122, Virginia Beach

So it was one of those Friday dinner take out for my family and we were deciding either bbq or seafood and so we gave this place a try. The title alone got our attention! We love the taste of Cajun, we love Seafood, and wings, so why not get it all right? From calling twice since I had to change the flavor, it was no problem at all. First I asked for Cajun flavor with butter and garlic, not realizing the spice level, so I called the 2nd time. I asked the spice level of their Cajun which is medium hot, so I told the guy my concern and so he suggested Old Bay with butter and garlic and will add the Cajun sauce on the side (no extra charge). Our order was ready by the time we got there even though there were either customers seated, waiting for order, and phone orders. The guy at the front was doing it all which he made it look easy and we didn’t wait too long! Anyhow, from the pictures on yelp, I did not think the trays were the size of a party tray (I thought it was half that size.)The price was great and the portion was more than enough. We actually have left overs for tomorrow! We ordered the combo 1-crab legs and shrimp and combo 2-crab legs and mussels, flavor: both Old Bay with side of Cajun sauce (no extra charge). Combo trays comes with corn, broccoli, sausage, and potatoes (all tasted fresh). We also ordered a side of 10 piece chicken honey sriracha flavor, which was perfectly mixed well! My taste buds was bursting with all that sweet and a hint of spice flavors! I wanted more! The food exceeded our expectations and bravo to the guy at the front managing it all! My only recommendation is to have an extra body close by just in case and maybe play some music? We got our Cajun, Old Bay, seafood, and chicken fix for the evening! Also, they gave us a free cole slaw which my husband devoured instantly! They have a variety of selection from side orders, platter/combos, steam, boiled, or fried which other restaurants lacks! That’s a leg up for Cajun Seafood and wings! Now, I have a seafood place to order from in case I need a seafood party tray! You can dine in as well, but for us we decided to order out! I will definitely be a regular though when I am not in a cooking mode! So my question for you is, would like your steamed/boiled seafood order served in a tray or in a bag? (a tray of course!) Check them out! You will not be disappointed! Also, it’s in the same shopping center as Tung Hoi and Saigon! How great to have all these delicious place in close proximity! Love it!

Seafoodlicious – Menu with Prices – 4435 Skidaway Rd, Savannah

OMG. Y’all, this place has some BOMB seafood. You have to give this place a try if you’re in the area. Seafoodlicious is a small hole-in-the-wall seafood market offering a variety of fresh seafood that you can purchase raw, boiled, or fried. This place has no seating to dine-in, it’s strictly takeout. But don’t let that keep you from stopping by, the food is well worth it. I’m so disappointed in myself for previously dining in at the tourist traps. Honestly, Seafoodlicious beats those places any day portion-wise, taste-wise, and price-wise. Not to mention I think this is where the locals come to get seafood. I came in an hour before closing, and a lot of people kept coming in to order food. That’s a good sign! When you come here, it helps if you come ready knowing what you want to order. The menu and set-up can be a little overwhelming for newcomers. If you don’t know what to get though, it’s okay. Once you come in you can place an order with any of the employees behind the counter and they’ll take your payment. Everything here is reasonably priced. Low country boils are $8.99 and you can get fried seafood for under $10. A lot of items on the menu are under $10. There’s a variety of seafood on ice presented in a glass case – so you can see the seafood right in front of you and choose what you want. Seafood includes small shrimp ($6.99 per lb), medium shrimp, and jumbo shrimp ($9.99 per lb), blue crab, snow crab, fish fillets (your choice of tilapia, swai, or whiting), catfish, whole fish (I can’t remember all but black sea bass was one of them. They serve very large whole fish as well), oysters, conch, squid, and crabmeat. They also serve cooked items like shrimp salad, crab pie, spicy conch, deviled crab, garlic crab, and fried crab. If you want raw seafood, you can just order what you want behind the glass case as is. If you want fried seafood, there is a selection of fried platters on the far left side of the menu. It comes with fries and your choice of dipping sauce. They use swai for the fried fish platter unless otherwise specified. While the fried seafood is tasty and satisfying, I would not go out of my way here for it. I highly recommend getting their low country boil, especially if you’re a newcomer. It’s such a good deal! The low country boil comes with small shrimp, two blue crabs, potatoes, corn, and 100% beef sausage. If you don’t want sausage they will offer to give you extra potatoes, which is nice. I have no idea what they use for seasoning but I guess it would be something along the lines of Cajun seasoning. Then they add garlic butter to it. They may ask if you want seasoning and garlic butter mixed in or if you’d like both on the side. I highly suggest having it all mixed in, the seafood absorbs the flavor better that way. Another option is to just order whatever you want behind the glass case and ask them to cook it. I think you can only either get it deep fried or boiled (if boiled they will add garlic butter and seasoning). My family of five ended up ordering 4 low country boils, one fried platter of fish and fries, one fried swai fish fillet, and one pound of boiled jumbo shrimp ($9.99 per lb), along with some soft drinks and sauces. It was A LOT of seafood and the grand total was $66 – not bad at all! The fried swai fillet yields two portions of fried fish. It was tasty and not greasy. The boiled jumbo shrimp and the low country boils were DELICIOUS. I think my eyes rolled to the back of my head when I took my first bite. Everything is seasoned so well. The corn is delicious and soaks up all that good seasoning. The beef sausage and potatoes were good too. I was shocked by the generous portions they gave us. They truly filled the container. With the potatoes, sausage, and corn, this makes for a really filling meal. None of us could finish our food. I think each container could easily be shared between two people. As for the sauces, additional sauces are 50 cen

WING STATION – Menu with Prices – 619 S Pine Ave, Ocala

This is the second time we’ve gotten takeout from here and really liked it. The first time we got 10 garlic Parmesan wings and the shrimp boil with Cajun seasoning. The wings were good, a little small, but cooked well and we really liked the seasoning. The shrimp boil was very good and a good value, 25 medium sized shrimp cooked perfectly with potatoes, corn and a small piece of sausage for $12.99. This time we got the special party seafood boil and the 4-Piece catfish dinner. Again, I think they have good value for what you get. The seafood boil easily fed 2 people with 1 snow crab cluster,10 medium shrimp, 10 crawfish, potatoes and corn. It also listed sausage but we didn’t get any of that and I think there should have been 2 corn on the cobs for such a big serving of everything else. The fried catfish was also a really good value, 4 huge pieces of fish and french fries for $10.99. Give them a try.

Coco Shrimp – Menu with Prices – 4440 Basswood Blvd, Fort Worth

I like food trucks. I have been seeing this pop up on my social media and made a point to check it out the next time I was in the area. Well, that day came yesterday. The truck is located in the parking lot of the Ace hardware. They have a couple of picnic tables set up and island music playing. The employees were friendly and the food came out fast. I was the only one there when I ordered, but while I waited, they had a few people show up for take out. I ordered the spicy shrimp. The order came with six shrimp, salad and rice. The salad was a combination of green leaf lettuce, carrot, cucumber and dried cranberries. It was crunchy and fresh and I enjoyed the ginger dressing. The rice was cooked perfectly and had some garlic butter on top. It tasted good but was a bit rich for me. There was lots of butter. The shrimp was good sized and tender. They were coated in, what tasted like, a mixture of garlic butter and tobacco. It wasn’t exactly what I was expecting, but it was tasty. I would definitely come again to try a different flavor and maybe skip the extra butter on the rice. There was plenty of food in the box, more than I could finish. It is a little pricy for lunch but the portions are definitely dinner sized.

Hana Teppanyaki House – Menu with Prices – 4036 River Oaks Dr #9, Myrtle Beach

Hana Teppanyaki House was our last meal of our vacation before we headed home. We came in a little before 6pm on a Friday. We were greeted upon entering and told to sit anywhere we wanted. There were a handful of 4 top tables and a few booths inside. The restaurant is a bit small but quaint and nicely decorated. Our server, Linda, was a doll. She gave us recommendations and they were on point. She was friendly, personable, and just all-around awesome. She truly made us feel welcome. The other staff members we encountered were just as friendly and warm. Throughout our meal, there were several people that came in for carryout orders. They too were greeted (all by first name) and welcomed in. We started with a Popcorn Chicken and Green Bean appetizer based on a recommendation from our server. It did not disappoint! It was cuts of chicken in a light batter with crispy green beans. There was a quite a bit of salt on the dish so you may want to ask for little or no salt if you order this. The chicken was great. The green beans were flash fried and crispy. It was delicious. Our meals (dinner combos) are cooked Hibachi Style and are served with soup, salad, veggies, and a choice between fried rice or noodles. The House Soup (homemade chicken broth with egg, chicken, bacon, corn) was so good. I’ve never had a soup like it. We all opted for the House Salad with creamy dressing (tastes like peppercorn ranch). The salad was fresh. We loved the dressing. We ordered: – Dinner Combo: Filet Mignon & Chicken with noodles and veggies (broccoli, zucchini, onions, mushrooms) – Dinner Combo: Filet Mignon & Scallops with noodles and veggies (broccoli) – Dinner Combo: Filet Mignon & fried rice with veggies (broccoli, zucchini, onions) All of us throughly enjoyed our meals. We asked for sides of teriyaki sauce and it elevated the meal! The filet was cooking to our liking. My parents loved the noodles. The fried rice was really food. I loved the sauce the chicken was cooked in. The veggies were so soft. Overall, we loved everything about this experience in dining here and we will definitely return the next time we are on vacation.

Storming Crab? Seafood Restaurant Lexington – Menu with Prices – 4009 Nicholasville Rd, Lexington

Seafood on land? Yup! Some may probably give a side eye but the seafood craving is real. Came in to venture and it was a pleasure. Who would have thought? Thunder, rain and lighting, storm me away but Storming Crab seemed to be the next best thing here! One out of their seven locations and the only one in Kentucky, they’re conveniently located along Nicholasville Road near the Fayette Mall. Service was excellent and ambience was good and chill! Sat down and was greeted by “Is anyone here allergic to crabs?” Good laugh! Handed us the whole shebang – seafood bibs, cracker, picker, and gloves. The complimentary seafood bread was amazing, soft and tasty, with crunchy crust, gooey cheese, and delicious crab tidbits on top. Can’t blame you if you want more, you can also order it as your appetizer for $4.99/4pc if the complimentary serving wasn’t enough. They were thaaaaaat good! Not a case of vandalism coz they let you use their marker – you’ll see each and every corner of your table, all over the walls, booths, left, right, up and down, all the way up to their bathroom stalls some random names and dates, sometimes with sweet quotes and sayings written by previous diners. Imagine Love Lock Bridges without the locks. It’s norm for everyone to leave an imprint of their visit. Of course we felt the desire to jump on the bandwagon and did it too! We wrote our names on the window blinds. Hah! Create your own lunch or dinner combo. 1/2-lb order comes with potatoes and 1-lb comes with corn, sausage and potatoes. Seafood options are crawfish, shrimp, clams, lobster, dungeness crab legs, snow crab legs, king crab legs, scallops, and mussels. Choose your boil flavor between crab house cajun, old bay butter and garlic butter. Heat levels can be mild, medium, hot, very hot, super hot or sam’s special. Got their Dinner Combo #5, served in a hot and steamy plastic bag, with juicy and delishy corn, potatoes, sausage, king crab legs, mussels, with shrimp substitute for crawfish, in garlic butter sauce and mild heat. Asked for extra garlic butter sauce coz I love to double dip and wolf my seafood down and dirty. Screaming yummy goodness that awakened my soul to amazing Allelujah delight! The cajun fried rice had nothing to write home about but it was a good compliment to our meal. The fried okra was delicious and crisp, loved it! One may think it won’t be the freshest of the fresh but does it taste good? Heck yeah! Will I go back? If I’m in the area, why not? No kidding, it’s absolutely an enjoyable meal! Sea food, see food. Come see it to believe it.

The Atlantic – Menu with Prices – 3004 Pacific Ave, Virginia Beach

My fiancé and I popped into this restaurant right after hurricane Dorian passed through, and happy hour (which usually ends at 6pm 7 days a week) was extended to 7pm. There was a short 10 min wait which gave us just enough time to skim over the menu and have our selections in mind by the time we were seated. We ordered 3 kinds of $1 happy hour oyster (2 baked – one with chorizo and one with mushrooms – and one roasted roasted with garlic butter). The minimum order quantity is 3pc. All of the oysters were very tasty, but our favorite was the oven roasted oyster with garlic butter – so good! My fiancé also ordered the $6 happy hour griddle burger, which was surprisingly hearty with double patties. We were extremely satisfied by what we got for the price point – I personally was expecting to detect some skimping! It’s like a $12 burger for half the price. My fiancé and I also got some cocktail shrimp to share, which at $16 came with 4pc. Our small town local market in Maryland also sells XL cocktail shrimp and I think ours are tastier for a better price, but honestly, I’m always happy to have cocktail shrimp. For my entree I got the lobster Mac and cheese, since that’s what I felt the dreary post-Dorian weather called for. The Mac was pretty light as far as Mac & cheese goes and the portion of lobster was relatively skimpy for the price ($16 if my memory serves correctly) – comparable price to the lobster roll which I would presume to have a much more generous portion of meat. Overall, we were the most impressed by the happy hour selection and the upbeat, friendly service. Awesome restaurant that we will definitely be returning to on our next visit to Virginia Beach.

Scopri Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 401 Locust St, Des Moines

This place was terrible. Went to try a new place. I got the filet and my girl got the pasta with butter garlic sauce. Hers was like eating alfalfa super over powered by fennel and no hint of butter or garlic. My filet waa the end price of the tenderloin rolled up to look like a nice cut of steak. It seemed they put some grill marks on it and let the heat lamp do the rest. The pasta wasnt hot temperature wise and just not good. If your looking for a good local Italian spot go to Tumea and Sons. Its always good! Im sorry I even tried a new spot sometimes its better to stick with what you know is good. Pretty sure the inly thing keeping this place alive is the hotel crowd that is only there for the night.

Italia Importing Co – Menu with Prices – 779 Grand Ave, New Haven

I’ve been coming to Vinnies for a few years now and just never bothered to write a review. It’s a great place for meat. It’s far from fancy inside but don’t let that bother you. The chicken cutlets are hand sliced to order (5lbs $17.00). They are nice and thin like a cutlet should be. You can cut them with a fork easily once cooked, same goes for veal cutlets. Porketta can be preordered and they will season and vacuum pack it for you. The sandwich steaks are like nothing you’ve ever seen in any grocery store. At $4.50 a pound you can go home and make yourself the best steak and cheese sandwich you’ve ever had. They are paper thin slices of beef that you will only find here and a Rosa’s deli in Wallingford (Vinnie sells them to Rosa) I ordered a whole filet mignon 8lbs @12.99 a lb for Christmas and though I could have gotten it cheaper at a grocery store I knew the quality would be better at Vinnies. It was like butter, my 11 guests all said it was the best filet they ever had! (and they eat it often) Don’t let the “no frills” look scare you, the meat is the best and they sell to half the restaurants you eat at in New Haven, they do a big wholesale business. It is so much better than the meat market just across the street, trust me!
