I have been coming here since they opened! Best Elotes in town!! Best corn in the Cob, wow!! There always putting add ons to the menus so you never get tired and they have a wide variety of Hispanic treats or deserts. They are all made from scratch in the store. They show good movies, family friendly to watch while you are eating and there are no servers there. Could be a bit cleaner, more spacious, but other than that, goodness!! It is good, try the Elotes, or corn on the cob. Their sauce for the corn is exclusively made for them. No one else has the recipe. It’s why it’s so packed… Customer service could be friendlier, smile more, greet better…

Rico Pan Bakery – Menu with Prices – 58-13 Woodside Ave, Flushing

Came here after watching Action Bronson go and I wasn’t disappointed. This could very well be the best Colombian bakery around. What’s better than a coffee and a bunuelo on Sunday morning? Nothing; nothing at all. This has become my morning ritual after coming here once. There’s several latino bakeries in Woodside, but Rico Pan really is the best. It’s more spacious than the rest. It’s cleaner than the rest. They’re friendlier than the rest. And their goods taste better too. I have a Colombian bakery two blocks away from me and I refuse to go there cause their bunuelos can’t touch Rico Pan. With so much surrounding this bakery, even if you didn’t want to go out of your way for it, something you’re doing is going to bring you in this direction. Treat yourself to some of their delicious items. Their pan de bono is also amazing!!

TWISTED TROMPO – Menu with Prices – 3036 Broadway Blvd, Garland

Wow! I used to eat tacos at this stand before the renovation and let me say, what an upgrade! It’s a full fledged restaurant connected to a Chevron gas station convenience store. There’s a drive thru, you can either order while you’re getting gas, call ahead and have them bring it out to you, or eat inside. It’s actually pretty nice and not weird at all. And the causal vibe of everything makes it feel super easy to eat alone! If you dine in, order at the counter and they’ll bring the food to your table. I tried their tacos and elotes. Need to go back to try their Twisted fries which I’ve heard is a major draw. Taco Tuesday special!! 4.99 for 3 taco plate which comes with rice and beans, and a 24 ounce fountain drink only after 4 PM. I tried two chicken and one steak. A bit on the salty side but wasn’t greasy and a great portion of meat. Came with semi grilled onions, raw onions, cilantro, a like, and red (spicy) and green sauce (extra spicy!!). I’m not sure how much a single taco is, my guess is that’s it’s around $1.50 as the 3 taco plate with rice beans and drink is usually $7.99. They also have tortas, quesadillas, burritos, and breakfast tacos! The elotes was disgusting, tasted like they might have added some weird queso mix over the corn and it was totally off putting. Plus, my corn was clearly over cooked as it was so chewy that it stuck to my teeth and had several brown kernels, not yellow. I would avoid the elotes as the taste of it (regardless of it being overcooked) was bad. @crjetc

4D Gelateria & Italian Gourmet – Menu with Prices – City Place, 700 S Rosemary Ave #118, West Palm Beach

Simply put…. the Gelato is okay, but prices are ridiculous. I went w/ my sister and nephews. Gelato for 2 woman & 2 children – $38 …. and it didn’t come with a smile. The average families are not bringing their kids here for Ice Cream on a regular basis. Also, the place always smells funny. Like an airport restroom. If you need to use so much cleaner it constantly smells like a wet dog… what are you trying to cover up? I also agree with other reviews comments that there never seems to be any AC inside, which may contribute to the smell. As for Customer Service…. if you think you will walk through the doors and be greeted Italian Style as if you are walking into a Trattoria in Italy – forget it. Being Italian and living part of my year in Italy, I don’t need to be educated on menu items. But for anyone else, the staff does not know the simple basics…. and if they did, they won’t accommodate you. In Italy, 4D would be comparable to the type of Eatery you’d find along the highway for travelers or truck stops in Europe. The only plus is 4D is located directly in the center of the Cityplace Piazza. So if you like to eat outside, people watch or enjoy the music while eating…..be willing to compromise quality for location.

Zero Degrees – Menu with Prices – 3401 Preston Rd #15, Frisco

First of all, this place has a really stupid name! It doesn’t seem to represent any of their menu items. It sounds more like a place that sells nitrogen ice cream or something. Because of the name, I walked right by it. However, I saw someone’s crazy mac and cheese and decided to check it out. The menu has an unusual combination of Mexican and Asian food/drinks (street corn and boba tea right next to each other). Again, this doesn’t fit with the name at all. Because I came here after a moonshine flight at Mashed next door, “Constant companion” took over and ordered for us. He got us elotes with framin’ hot Cheetos and a cucumber limeade. Side note: the menu calls them “elotes” but they are what I know as “esquites.” It’s corn off of the cob in a bowl. Whatever you call them, they were soooo good. They came with crema and cotija and were also topped with fluffy ground flamin’ hot Cheetos. It was perfect! Also, they had some green tomatillo-like sauce drizzled on top. We squeezed the lime wedge out too, which added a nice sourness. Long story short, I loved this snack! It’s the perfect late night comfort food! My only complaint (besides the name of the restaurant) is that it wasn’t spicy at all. The cucumber limeade was also really good! And it went perfectly with the esquites. I will definitely be back. Luckily, it seems like there are quite a few locations! Next time, I want to try the horchata.

Laguna Mexican Street Food & Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 1980 Hard Rd, Columbus

Laguna has limited seating (6 tables of 4) with no accommodations for small children. The shaved ice is actually snow cone ice and not shaved. That is it for the downside. The service is accommodating, very friendly and â??homeyâ??. Everything is made fresh and you can watch it being made. The elotes(corn on the cob), one cob, is fresh and a little spicy. The salsa that is included with the chips is perfectly seasoned. Street tacos are over-filled with rich, fresh ingredients. The quesadilla is served warm and the cheese is melted to perfection. Sodas are by the bottle or can. Take out is available. This is such a comfortable little dining experience. Nothing too fancy or expensive. This is just good, fresh food.

Order Sons of Italy In America – Menu with Prices – 4701 Fritchey St, Harrisburg

I’ve been a regular take out customer of sons of italy since they took over cantones. Well apparently its, again under new, management…they are no longer using mrs. Cantones spaghetti sauce recipe. The food sucks…we ordered our normal spaghetti which was bar far no where near the old recipe. We also ordered a chz, steak sub. Which was sent with no cheese. Barely any steak. All in all…I went there because they served authentic Italian spaghetti sauce. Back to sorry olive garden I go. Cause that sauce came from a jar this visit. .qhen I complained and asked for a,number to contact owner…was, told it’s under new mgmt.and recipes, are not same…no number given. A very sad and unhappy customer

Empanada Llama – Menu with Prices – 9965 San Jose Blvd suit 39, Jacksonville

Have you ever walked into a restaurant/establishment and felt like you’re home? Empanada Llama has the homey feeling I’ve been craving and to be fair, I was also craving an empanada, so two birds, one stone. I had a bit of a hard time finding this little gem. Why? Because I have worst sense of direction and I also rely far too heavily on my GPS. I walked in and this little place was packed to the gils. Decor is clean, bright, and colorful. I looked over the menu and opted to order an original beef empanada, side of golf sauce (if you know me, you know that I’m not a mayo fan, at all, but I wanted to try it because I am a ketchup fan), and a diet Coke. The girl at the counter was SUPER friendly and just pleasant. Customer service tip number one, greet us with a smile, and she did that. I took a seat at the counter, because there were no seats left. A few minutes later my empanada came out. It was presented on a little wooden cutting board. So cute. Despite the cutting board being cute, the real test of a great empanada is the taste. One bite and this empanada had me in seventh heaven. The one word that comes to mind: BEYOND. Perfectly seasoned beef, wrapped up in flakey pastry dough, and then dipped in a sauce that made me think what I was thinking all these years of stating my dislike for all things mayo. I tried to savor each bite. Each piece was better than the next. Then in a matter of minutes the empanada was gone because it was in my belly. I was sad and happy all at the same time. Pros: -Great customer service -Empanada was AMAZING -Golf sauce, even if you don’t like mayo, I’m telling you, try it. -Corn nuts (they give you a little cup while you’re waiting). Who knew these were so delicious -You can tell Empanada Llama love what they do and it shows in their empanadas. Cons: -My lack of direction Tips: Their sign is pretty small, so you can easily miss it.

Kabob House – Menu with Prices – 10901 Magnolia Ave, Riverside

So yummy! One of my favorite Mediterranean spots. I am Vegan so I always feel limited when going out to eat. They have a Veggie kabob plate and a Falafel plate that is not only filling but so so so good. The Baklava is out of this world delicious and its family recipe. I tried to get the recipe from the owner but no luck there. haha The Falafel sandwich is the perfect small meal! I don’t leave feeling bloated or uncomfortable after eating. I love the environment and the family is so sweet. For people who are not accustomed to ordering or eating Mediterranean food the menu is easy to understand. I recommend this place for family events or parties. They have large platter options. I crave this place quite a lot so even if your just eating lunch there is a nice area outside to eat or sit inside and watch some Tv while enjoying your meal or even taking it to go for dinner its great and they have grubhub to order and pickup. Love this place.

Baleadas Express – Menu with Prices – 1486 W Spring Valley Rd, Richardson

I didn’t think this was was gonna be as big or as popular considering the reviews and the location. But on an off hour Saturday afternoon, it was pretty busy. And judging from all the Honduran-pride knick knacks they sell here, it seems to be “un encuentro catracho,” or a Honduran meeting place, for North Dallas. This is the second time I tried baleadas con carne asada in Dallas, and the meat was better flavored than the other place by the airport, but also a bit more gristle – so I’m not sure how to compare it exactly. But I had also forgotten to add eggs but I wasn’t having it for breakfast anyways. Overall, the baleada was a bit skimpy even though the fresh flour tortilla was large in size. Would I come back? I don’t know – I found the service a bit cold and I’m talking about two ladies, not just one, that manage the front end of the business – and I almost never complain about indifferent service anywhere. And I felt that the very affordable menu was also a bit smaller and limited compared to the other Catracho place near Love Field – although it expands in the weekends with their specialty soups (mondongo, caracol, etc). I also feel that the other place make their food with more love. If you want better Honduran food, and friendlier service, go to the other place. If you want a cleaner establishment and can forget about the rest of the things, then this one is definitely cleaner and more organized of the two, while also being more visibly appealing overall. But for me, that doesn’t really do it.

El Valle BBQ – Menu with Prices – 8108 NW 103rd St, Hialeah

Found this little gem thanks to Uber Eats on oh my goodness, we are hooked! We were a little skeptical at first since we hadn’t heard of the place before but we were in the mood for hispanic food and decided to take a chance and boy am I glad we did. Portion sizes are generous and prices are great for the delicious food they have to offer. Disclaimer: This rating is based exclusively on delivery orders since we have not visited the restaurant physically. What To Order: Queso Frito: Huge, thick cut triangles of fried cheese. It doesn’t get better than that. Masas de puerco: So juicy and tasty without being overly greasy. Love the fact they serve it with extra lime wedges. Croquetas de la casa: I could eat these all day, every day. Great consistency and flavor. Frituras de maiz (Corn Fritters): 20 cripsy, golden nuggets of sweet corn for $4 is a steal and they are extremely addictive! Chicken WIngs: Not your ordinary wings but still delicious. Picadera Variada (appetizer sampler): This is the one that started it all. We wanted to see what this place had to offer so we ordered this. Cheese cubes, olives, chicharron, mozarella sticks, corn fritters, chicken wings, sausage, onion rings and mariquitas. Delicious and fun to share!

La Chula Michoacana – Menu with Prices – 100 S Main St #4841, McAllen

Very disorganized in how the employees worked. There was no order in how to serve people efficiently. and the customer service was not there. It is spacious and clean but boring choices of ice cream. Nothing the makes it stand out that much. It was very expensive. For two cups of corn and a scoop of ice cream it was $11. That’s ridiculous in my opinion. Not sure we will be back.

The Victory Madison – Menu with Prices – 2710 Atwood Ave, Madison

This is an adorable and quaint coffee shop! It feels like a dive bar that exclusively sells coffee and coffee products. To begin with, there are some limitations when coming here. First, there is only street parking available for when you decide to come. The advantage is that there always seems to be parking near by! In addition, they do not have any wifi in the building. So bring a book or two and catch up on your readings! Finally, this place is cash only which is completely cool! I love how it’s a local business and that it’s cash only. It makes me believe my cash is going back to the community and not to a major business. Now it is time for the good things about The Victory! The staff is so sweet and down to earth. They always greet you with a warm smile, and they make you feel just at home! They make sure your drinks come in a prompt manner, and they will make sure you have a pleasant stay from entering to leaving. The coffee is also impeccable. The flavors of the coffee are phenomenal and I adore their hot coffee. In addition to their dope coffee, they have a nice variety of food dishes for someone to choose from!
