My husband and I visited BMPP’s Glendale location tonight, which was our first but definitely not last time eating at this small chain pizzeria! After reading other reviews, we both opted for the traditional egg boat pizza (aka kachapuri), which was also a first for us. While I can’t speak to its authenticity, I can attest to its deliciousness and generous size. It might look small, but it is VERY filling. Unless you are ravenous, you could easily split a one egg boat between two averagely hungry people as a quick meal. (Although it’s so good you might want one all to yourself!) If you order the egg boat, do yourself a huge favor and order the egg medium, then break it with a little bit of the crust so it oozes over the cheese and melds with the liquified butter. It makes every bite that much more magical. The restaurant itself is clean and casual. The overall volume of the place on a Friday night at 8 pm was quiet enough that we could carry a conversation without issue. Also without issue are the staff, who are consummate pros. All the staff are super friendly. I really appreciate that someone checked on us mid-way through our meal, even though they seemed pretty slammed with takeout and delivery orders. (And rightfully so — it’s really good!) Thank you for a delicious and all around great experience, BMPP — we’ll definitely be back!

Anchors Fish and Chips and Seafood Grill – Menu with Prices – 1111 Meridian Ave Suit 5, San Jose

We decide to try something new tonight. We both felt like seafood, but didn’t want to spend a fortune, nor go to an upscale place that required a reservation. I has this place on my list to try, so I convinced my partner to go here for dinner. Now, he was reluctant because we usually enjoy a leisurely, long dinner in a nice quiet, atmosphere, with a nice bottle of wine on a Friday after a long work week. He was concerned this place was too “fast food casual” to enjoy our Friday night. Boy was he wrong! Upon arrival, we noticed the dining area was quite small. But, we were seated immediately and started reviewing the menu. We were blown away by the number of options. We ordered a very affordable bottle of La Crema Pinot Noir, 3 appetizers and 2 entree’s. This place absolutely deserves 5 stars for food. We had the lime prawns and they were DELICIOUS. I loved them. He had the bay shrimp cocktail and enjoyed it. We also added the garlic bread with crab, but hold the cheese. It was fine, I missed the cheese, but I appreciate their willingness to meet our dietary restrictions. For entrees, I had the lobster tail and he had blackened swordfish. Both were great. The potatoes were great, and so were the mixed grilled veggies. Everything was fresh and tasty. I felt like my lobster tail was better than at expensive places like McCormick and Schmick’s. It was cooked to perfection and the right size. We indulged in a shared key lime pie and it was very nice. Will we be back?? Yes, 100% sure. While the atmosphere is casual, we had a lovely night, the restaurant was conducive to a nice conversation, and we didn’t feel rushed. We had great service and great food at a reasonable price for seafood.

Lake Springfield Tavern – Menu with Prices – 1221 Adlai Stevenson Dr, Springfield

All you can eat walleye for $7.50. I have been here a dozen times during the past two years for the Friday night all-you-can-eat-walleye. Service has always been good and the fish served hot right out of the fryer. Your choice of potato and side of salad makes this meal very budget friendly. The menu has something for everyone, but the Friday night all-you-can-eat-walleye truly is one of Springfieldâ??s hidden bargains for $7.50. Adult drink prices are also budget friendly. Donâ??t let the outside of this 55-60 year old brick building scare you.

Dolphins and You – Menu with Prices – 307 Lewers St #401, Honolulu

I actually frequent Hawaii often, and I have actually done several different snorkeling and scuba adventures when I visit. To be completely honest this company was by far the most disappointing out of any by far! The highlight of the entire outing was huge water slide, which I really could care less about since that wasnt what I was there for. There were two pitchers on boat for guest to drink one water and the other I guess lemonade. Lemonade tasted like super diluted tap water. Yuck! One of irritating issue was I paid for picture package along with dolphin swim. No where I website did I see that in order to recieve the pictures I had already paid for I would have to drive down to their main location (20 miles away from hotel or pay an additional $5 to have them shipped) would have been nice to know before paying $60 for picture package that it would be such a inconvenience to get them in the end. What’s more aggravating is I am going through the usb I got with what I thought were my pictures and out of the 600 something pictures on usb there are maybe 15 of me and people in my group. Are you flipping kidding me!!!! I paid $65 for maybe 15 pictures, most of them are not even very good shots of any of us! The rest of the pictures are of random other people who were on boat and the staff.. why in the heck would I pay that much for tons of pictures of other people I don’t even care about! I have been on other excursions where there was half the amount of people on boat the time you scuba or snorkel was much longer. When on this each time we went into water felt rushed. I will definitely never be using this company again & definitely do not recommend!!!

2 Scoops & Sprinkles – Menu with Prices – 12995 S Cleveland Ave Suite 131, Fort Myers

Great little place. It is right north of Outback in the little strip, if your having trouble seeing it. The young woman working was really sweet. Offered to give us taste-tests. We found a fudge pecan that was to die for. You can pick the differnt cones or bowls. I thought the ice cream was better than Love Boat, which is too creamy for me if that makes sense. Love Boat makes you really thirsty. They have some great flavors and fun toppings too. There is a cute little play area for kids. They have a couple seats and tables. One table has games on it to play while you eat. Check them out, let’s support this local business. Oh, one couple got theirs to-go which i thought was cool.

Canal Lounge – Menu with Prices – 22 Atwater Ave, Montreal

I live across the canal and have come to this place on 3 separate occasions with out of town guests. Selection is minimal but it’s fine. I went in a group of 4 last night. We had finished dinner and thought it would be nice to have a nightcap so we mosied on over. The outdoor spots were taken but being a Sunday night, there was only one other couple on the boat so we took a seat inside. The boat does have an odor but it’s tolerable. My 3 other guests ordered a drink and I perused the menu but didn’t feel like ordering one at that moment. i told our server i’m ok for now. A few minutes go by and when they were ready to bring our drinks over, the bartender calls across the boat. “You aren’t ordering a drink?” I said in a bit but i’m ok for now. He responds: “Who comes to a bar and doesn’t order anything?!” This took me completely by surprise and I didn’t know if he was joking, as my back was to the bar, my brother had witnessed them discussing it and looking like they had attitude so he said. Why would you give her attitude when we’re all ordering drinks? We all thanked them and walked out. This bartender was extremely rude and i will never return to this place. I could have been a designated driver, or pregnant. It was extremely disappointing and have never been treated like this at any establishment. He clearly needs some training in customer service.

Ristorante Mascarpone’s – Menu with Prices – 1446-1448 E Katella Ave, Orange

After you have been here once, you will be tempted to order the owner Ronnea’s cheesecake as an appetizer so you’ll have time (and room) to savor every creamy, delicious bite. I am convinced there is no “best” flavor. But really, how can you pass up starting your meal with a perfect beef carpaccio in decadent olive oil, capers, lemon juice, and a snowing of thinly sliced parmigiano? We have been dining here for 28 years, and I have loved every dish I tried. The minestrone soup and bleu cheese salads are family favorites. For a main dish, I struggle over whether to order the stuffed shells, ravioli gorgonzola, penne arrabiata, or rigatoni with filet in a perfect wine sauce. Owner Pepe knows this and always suggests one of my favorites, which makes me feel so at home. The space is dark and cozy, with acoustic guitar music adding to the elegance of the experience without making conversation difficult to hear. In true European style, you will not be rushed to finish your meal or leave your table. A cappuccino or espresso and dolce are a happy way to round out the night; and if you are not hungry after your delicious meal, order cheesecake or tiramisu to go. They only get better with time!

Tony’s of Indianapolis – Menu with Prices – 110 W Washington St, Indianapolis

Prior to visiting Indy, I had done quite a bit of research on local steakhouses in the area since my boyfriend considers himself a steak connoisseur (haha) and after finding out our concert had been postponed, I jumped at the opportunity to schedule a reservation for a late dinner. We ended up getting a reservation for 8:30 on a Saturday evening, which was perfect! Upon arrival we were greeted by a great staff, with live music playing in the background; the ambiance was classy, but down-to-earth. Initially, we spent a little time at the bar as our table was prepped, which I was not a huge fan of initially, but I actually ended up enjoying the experience. Upon being seated, our service was flawless — from the excellent recommendations and quick service, to the casual conversation with the staff it could not have been better. For appetizers we chose the calamari and rassati beef tartare; both came in large portions and were fantastic, but the beef tartare stands out in my mind the most. Dinner consisted of a 9oz Filet Mignon with Horseradish and Chive Butter for my boyfriend, and a 9oz Filet Mignon with the Oscar toppings for myself; we also shared the Five Cheese Mac, and the Truffle Wedges — every bite was outstanding though neither of us could finish our servings. With all the amazing food and the wonderful staff, we ended up spending close to two hours here! The one and only thing that we believed was less than perfect was the dessert, which was a chocolate vanilla raspberry cake; it was good but not up to par with the rest of the meal. Regardless of the dessert, Tony’s still earned a solid 5 on our rating scale and I highly recommend stopping in for a visit!

The Lonely Pine Steakhouse – Menu with Prices – 6085 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati

Want great steaks, a casual atmosphere and prices that won’t break the bank? Then this is your steak place and you should check it out ASAP. We went to dinner around 6 pm on a Friday night. Though they do not take reservations we were able to be seated immediately. The service was great along with an inviting atmosphere. Now let me get to my favorite part… the food! We ordered a 16 oz Cowboy with mushroom and garlic butter, 8 oz Ohio Wagyu fillet, potatoes, seasonal vegetables, bread basket with tallow-butter curd, 1 large scoop of Aglamesis Bros Banana Chip Ice cream and the Triple Citrus Crème Brûlée. Everything tasted fantastic and I couldn’t stop thinking about my Wagyu fillet. I felt like I was flying and in an emotional state of pure bliss!! Only fantastic steaks make me feel this way, so yes, it WAS DELICIOUS! The Cowboy was a flavor bomb, dry aged for 30 days and cooked to perfection. The Ohio Wagyu tasted as expected; tender, lean and wonderful. If you are a garlic or mushroom fan, I recommend to pay the $3 extra dollars for these butters. Definitely worth the calories. As for everything else we tried, they were great. The other big highlight was the ice cream. It tasted like a frozen chocolate banana (one of my favorite desserts). Honestly, this was one of the best scoops of ice cream I have ever tried. If you’ve never tried Aglamesis Bros ice cream, you must order this as dessert. With all of this food, our meal came out to be around $80 dollars per person. However, we splurged on this meal. If you come here and order a side with two steak entrees you can easily lower this cost to around 40-50 dollars per person depending on what you order. The 8 oz Wagu fillet was only $29 dollars! Come here and enjoy yourself without worrying about making this a formal affair, while still being able to enjoy quality food.

Hungry Howie’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 2535 N Central Ave, Phoenix

First time we ordered delivery closer to closing time. Rather than say hey it’s past our delivery time they went on how it would be an hour and a half. We said we would just do carry out- no issue. The woman seemed to have a hard time understanding to void that transaction to change it to carry out. The pizza was good. We decided to try them again about a week and a half later for carry out. We saw it estimated 20 minutes and gave it 30, arrive and are told that the pizza is just about to go into the oven and it would be 10 minutes… I’m not sure it’s worth this lack of customer service.

Guru Indian Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 3140 Cowan Blvd, Fredericksburg

I was in the mood for some amazing butter chicken and garlic naan. I was not disappointed by this place. I believe I had been to their original location a few years back and as I recall, it was pretty amazing back then. I had butter chicken, palak panner, and garlic naan which were seriously amazing!! The best part is that they have a $10 lunch buffet Monday-Friday and $11 on Saturday and Sunday!!! I went here for dinner on a Friday evening and it wasn’t super busy. The staff was friendly and attentive. The place was clean and even the bathroom was clean. I’m definitely visiting this place again to try out the lunch buffet.

Mo Meaux’s Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 1933 S Padre Island Dr, Corpus Christi

My family was in Corpus Christi for a vacation and researched a few spots via Open Table for our 1st night dinner. We chose Mo Meauxâ??s because #1 they had availability & #2 because itâ??s not food we typically eat in land-locked Colorado. . #1 reason didnâ??t matter bc they werenâ??t full and they donâ??t honor Open Table reservations anyway even though they are on their site. . Reason #2 was everything we wanted. We ordered bourdin balls, crawfish/shrimp/sausage boil, gumbo and some TX beers to round out our meal. Our waitress was kind enough to teach us how to open the crawfish(daddies?). Note: everything is swimming in butter…like lotsa and lotsa of butter. . There was a 2-person band singing some well-known covers. They were pretty good and the volume wasnâ??t too loud where you couldnâ??t hear your dinner conversation.

The Capital’s Seafood House – Menu with Prices – 1706 W 3rd St, Little Rock

I’ve been here a few times and I feel like the food is good and the experience is OK. Food: B The food is solid. I usually get catfish. I ordered shrimp and grits once but didn’t like them. I’m a plain Jane foodie. I ordered burger bites once and they were awesome! My husband has gotten seafood burger which he LOVES. I tried a bit and that tasted really good. Next time I’m there, that’s what I’m going to get. Environment: C Nice location right across from the state capital. I think the dining room needs a little styling. The black table cloths and dimmed lighting makes it seem elegant but the menu, waitresses and TVs make it seem like more casual. There’s no real theme. Pricing: A Pricing is on par. Nothing outrageous. Customer Service: C The wait staff are super friendly but not very professional. Just very casual and OK. No rude behavior but nothing that made the experience better. There’s lots of little things but nothing major. I’ll be back and now that I’ve decided this is casual just casual dining, I think I’ll have a better experience to go along with the food food.
