Our best friends suggested this place but I don’t quite understand the good reviews. While the menu has a ton of potential, the execution was absolutely terrible. We ordered the sampler only to receive room temperature queso TWICE. The first time, I immediately took it back to the counter only for the cook to act frustrated for asking for it to be warmed up. He said “I can’t heat it up, I’ll have to make you a new one.” I apologized and assured him I was only asking bc it was legitimately room temp. By the time our replacement queso came out, we were done & it was STILL room temp. The chicken and waffle taco would have been great if it held any form of a taco. Both fajita tacos were average and corn tortillas crumbled. The brisket taco was okay. The margaritas were $8 and $9 and came to our table when we were nearly finished. Neither of us could taste much liquor but there was a ton of sugar. There was also no jolly rancher rim, which was advertised on the watermelon Rita. I assume is what they charged the extra $1 for. Our tab was $45 at Happy Taco. This was nearly as much as we paid at Gloria’s for fajitas for 2 and 2 speciality margaritas.

Taqueria Eva – Menu with Prices – 7603 Spring Cypress Rd, Spring

These are my favorite fajita tacos in the houston area. They make thick soft fresh corn tortillas in house, and they are amazing! The tacos are filling and cheap, 1.75 for corn 2 for flour. The beef fajita tacos are a 5, however the rest are just ok and I bring my own green sauce with me from El Rodeo down the road. The place is a small food stand with a screened in area with a few picnic tables. The service is fast and friendly.

Painted Taco – Menu with Prices – 222 Rosemont Garden, Lexington

Great Vibe, Good Margaritas, So-So food. The vibe and theme of Painted Taco is what drew me in. I had seen the building while driving through the area and made a point to come when they opened. Of course we ordered margaritas, which did not disappoint. I would come back for the margaritas. The food was nothing special. The names of the tacos were fun. I had mine “painted” with queso. The tacos were decent too, but slightly overpriced. I was surprised tacos were $3.99 each. But the real reason this score is not higher is the chips and salsa. The chips were not fresh, some were cold. The salsa was not good. If you are going to serve tacos etc,you have to have good chips and salsa. My friend, a vegetarian, had limited options, since one of the products was not available yet. We were surprised there were no bean tacos – a simple vegetarian ingredient or that beans were not listed under BYO taco. Also to note the tip screen when paying for your food starts at a tip of 20%. I anticipate Painted Taco will get less tips this way, unless they change the screen to include 10%, 15% options – unless your goal is to get cash tips instead. But who carries cash these days?? I’m excited for this new place and I’ll be back for the margaritas and tacos, but not the chips & salsa.

Bandido Taqueria Mexicana – Menu with Prices – 905 E Liberty St, Louisville

I keep forgetting to take pictures so close your eyes while you read this and use your imagination. I got the fish taco (fried), Maui Wowie (el pastor), and the carnitas tacos, plus an original elote. The tacos were good street tacos on small corn tortillas, they only have corn taco tortillas. Each taco had a slaw mixture that complimented the protein. The fish was a nice battered fillet that fit well in the tortilla. The el pastor taco could have used more meat and pineapple, the pork seemed a little under seasoned. I did really like the condiment bar. The serrano and habanero salsas had great flavor. You can actually taste the name sake pepper in each without them burning out your pallet. The pickled onions were superb, thin slices of habanero provided a nice secondary flavor with a kick. The best for last is the elote. Excellent ear of corn with large juicy kernels, coated in Mexican table cream, chili powder, cheese, and with a twist a red “enchilada” sauce. All on an easy to consume stick, it was my favorite. I love knowing I can grab some quick street tacos during my lunch break.

Ravi Restaurant Taquitos – Menu with Prices – 414 Shiloh Rd # 2, Laredo

Well if you’ve heard that this place has very good el pastor taco’s… That’s true, some of best tasting I have ever had especially in my area of Texas. They have an awesome parillada for 4, only $35. You can pick from fajita, chicken fajita, & pastor with sausage. Comes with 20 tortillas and salsa’s. There tripa taco is really good as well. I like it crispy for the crunch. I certainly will be back.

Tranky’s Tacos – Menu with Prices – 2218 S Jupiter Rd, Garland

This place came up as a suggestion in my Yelp. The first thing I noticed was the solid 5 star rating and over 200 reviews. After noticing their hours of operation ended at 3:30 daily, me and the bestie scheduled time on a Saturday to go and check this place out. We were greeted by the owner of the place who was wonderfully nice and courteous. He explained the menu, went into detail regarding the different sauces and so on. He even offered chip w salsa or guacamole. Being that I am a huge fan of guac, I had to have some and trust me when I say it was magnificent. I could drive over for that alone. We both got the plate with 3 tacos. I got picadillo, brisket and fajita tacos. All tacos were served on corn tortillas, which I prefer. The tacos were pretty good to say the least. I did enjoy thoroughly. They were more of a gourmet style. If you are looking for the type of tacos that leave grease stains on brown paper sacks, this isn’t the place; but you will enjoy your meal and service! I will definitely be bk.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop – Menu with Prices – 1511 Hewitt Dr, Waco

I tried Fuzzy’s for the first time and didn’t like it. I’ll talk about the positive things first, followed by the negative. The restaurant was clean, lots of open space, however the staff members are inattentive. There was no one at the takeout station. One staff member looked directly at me and I tried to flag her down and she walked away, this happened twice until I had to walk up to her and ask if I could please have my to-go order. My order was ready and sitting there behind a counter, and I probably should’ve just grabbed it and walked out, but I didn’t know for sure if it was my order, and I didn’t want to look like I was stealing food. I love that you can order food online, it makes easy to customize your order–However, they still got my order wrong. I asked for flour tortillas, and got soft corn tortillas instead and honestly, soft corn tortillas are so gross to me, they taste like soggy chips. The food was mediocre to bad. For starters: I liked the seasoned tortilla chips at first, but then after eating a few more chips, I realized they taste like Doritos and that really grossed me out. The $5 guacamole was very bland, it tasted like smashed avocado with some onions. It has no seasoning, no peppers, no lime/lemon zest flavor, and it didn’t have enough cilantro. The avocado ranch sauce that came with the jalapeño bottlecaps is good. However, the $5 “lightly battered” fried jalapeño bottlecaps were heavily battered, I like that they were spicy, but the batter was so thick it ruined it–I ate 4 bites and threw the rest in the trash. Overall, I don’t recommend ordering chips & guacamole and the fried jalapeño bottlecaps. Not worth the calories or money. Tacos: These are all thin, small tacos, and they gave me the wrong tortillas so they were served on a soggy soft corn tortilla, the lettuce was soggy, there was barely any meat, presentation was extremely sloppy. I liked the meat in the brisket taco however it was like two tiny tiny chunks of brisket. The grilled fish taco was so gross, I could barely tell it was fish, it was very cheap fish too–a hard pass on that. My husband said the shredded chicken taco was okay, but again all these tacos had soggy lettuce, barely any meat, (barely any ingredients!), not alot of flavor or texture, not worth the calories! soggy and sloppy and thin. In conclusion, I might not come back, but if someone wants to dine in, I might go along and order something different. I’d like to try something with the brisket, maybe a burrito bowl or possibly a taco but on a hard shell because the soft shell tacos are way too soggy.

Jesse’s Tortilla Factory – Menu with Prices – 1226 Webster Ave, Waco

As you walk in, you’ll be greeted by a very strong corn scent. They process all of their own corn here, and they make their tortillas right in front of you. The employees are all very friendly and were all smiles while serving us. You can get hot tamales on most days, but sometimes they’re sold out so it’s better to call ahead of time if you’re going specifically for tamales. Note that you’ll have to eat them at home or in the car, there’s no seating as this is not a restaurant. Their corn tortillas are the best I’ve ever had. They sell flour tortillas, corn chips, guacamole, and queso as well as their tortillas and corn tamales. If you’re feeling creative, they also sell husks and masa so you can make your own tamales at home. They DO take credit cards, this place isn’t cash only. Totally worth the stop if you’re in the neighborhood.

Señor Chachote Cantina and Grill – Menu with Prices – 7602 N Jupiter Rd, Garland

I love, love Senor Chachotes! We’ve been here at least 5 times but the last two times it’s become our favorite place to go. During the week my husband and I look forward to go on his day off. We go when we know it’s already slowed down and it’s literally only us and maybe another table. We love the atmosphere, it’s not big but it has a warm and home-y feeling! Not only do we love their fajita tacos but their costumer service–Wow! We usually get the same male waiter and he’s awesome!! So much that he’s probably the best waiter I’ve ever had in all the restaurants I gone, ever. Seriously, he’s that good! I think the owner hires people just like them because we’ve met who I think is the owner and his personality is just as great! I’ve seen two other waiters and they all have really good costumer service skills. Thank you for always being great! I get the fajita tacos with rice and refried beans and my husband gets the chelos tacos. He also really likes their frozen margaritas!

Cantina Taco – Menu with Prices – 117 S Main St, Rockford

We’ve been fans of their tacos getting them at the market as well as through Stewart Square Eatery for years and now we’re so excited that Cantina Taco finally has its very own restaurant! I have not had the chance to eat inside yet but I did order delivery to my work one afternoon and was not disappointed. Here’s what I ordered: 1. The fish tacos – I’m a seafood fan and I tend to lean towards fish tacos whenever I stop at a taco place but I think these may be my new go-to. I was extremely impressed with how well seasoned and perfectly crisp their fish batter was without overpowering the fish itself and their slightly sweet slaw offered a great balance in the taco. 2. Chorizo brunch taco – chorizo, egg, potato – nicely cooked and delicious! 3. Chips and queso – Whatever is in their queso is creamy and addicting. Be warned, you’re probably not going to want to share (though there’s more than enough to.) Overall, I was happy as always with their tacos and would definitely recommend it ?

Jay’s Mexican Grill Menu with Prices 1545 McFarland Pkwy, Alpharetta

Yeah this place is pretty cool my favorite is the tacos I think it’s like number 4 on the menu to the corn tortillas to use for the tacos are excellent to me that is a big deal I love really good quality corn tortillas when it comes to Tacos their steak tacos are the best I personally and avocado pico de gallo and sour cream to mine they also give you a screenshots with all of the orders that is absolutely delicious it may possibly be tamalito but I could however be wrong whatever it maybe you need some in your life it is very good

Sayulita Taqueria – Menu with Prices – 2823-057-002, Ocala

I’d come here more often if I didn’t live 40 min away! When I crave tacos, I often think about Sayulita as opposed to any of Gainesville’s establishments. I’ve tried the chips and Tres Amigos (guac, salsa, and queso), and all three components were so good that I couldn’t single any of them out. I’ve also tried a 101 Taco with taco meat, Shrimp Taco, Buffalo Taco, and Mahi Taco (which were all super yummy) as well as one of their classic margaritas. Since my first visit, I’ve gone back one more time and repeated my order of a shrimp taco, tres amigos and chips, and a margarita and enjoyed the meal just as much as I did the first time. The restaurant has a good amount of seating and space; the decor is simple and not flashy (which I like); and both times I’ve gone, there were 1-2 other groups of customers. Again, I would truly be a regular here if I lived closer!

Tony’s Street Tacos – Menu with Prices – 6114 Root Rd, Spring

I rarely give five star reviews, but I have to for this new place. Tony’s Street Tacos replaced Northampton Pizza in the EZ4U. I stopped in today to give it a try. I ordered a shrimp taco and a brisket taco on corn tortillas. Tony had me sample the brisket–it was wonderful, nice and tender even in the lean parts, and well seasoned. He could spin off a barbecue place if he wanted. I had some cilantro rice and grilled onions on the brisket taco. The shrimp taco came with three nice plump shrimp and some very good slaw, with jicama, cabbage, and other items to give it a good crunch. I ordered the special Diablo sauce, and Tony gave me green and red salsas as well. He made the Diablo sauce on the spot, and it’s 99 cents extra. He warned me that the Diablo sauce was very hot, and the red sauce was hot. The green sauce is a milder one. I tried all three. I think I am slightly more sensitive than average to hot food. The Diablo sauce had a nice heat but was not at all overwhelming. A great combination of garlic, asiago sauce and pico de gallo. I thought the red sauce was actually a bit hotter. The green sauce is milder, and has a very fresh flavor. I liked them all, but I think the Diablo sauce is worth the upcharge. If you pay in credit you pay next door at the EZ4U. I threw in a Dr. Pepper made with sugar, which was quite fine. The interior is very casual but sufficiently attractive and comfortable if you want to stay in. I was served by the owner with all possible courtesy. All in all, I can’t say enough good things about it.
