I have been driving past this place for a while and we finally decided to stop in there one evening for dinner and drinks. I was surprised at how busy the place was but we were able to snag a table right away. It was a Friday evening and they had a band playing that was very good. The owner came over and greeted us and had someone come and clean up the table right away. I ordered the fish fry and my husband ordered the brat with tater tot’s. The fish fry was extremely delicious, probably the best one I’ve had while living in Arizona and that says a lot from a Wisconsin girl LOL! My husband said that the brat was also very good. Simple, but tasty. We sat and had a few drinks while listening to the band and really enjoyed it there. I will absolutely be back for the fish fry and would like to come back on a Friday again because whoever was playing that evening was very good. The place had a steady crowd the whole evening which was good to see since this is a newer establishment.

The Settlement – Menu with Prices – 3254 Bay Settlement Rd, Green Bay

Another Wisconsin Fish Fry Winner! Quite frankly this place is not the most impressive from the outside, but you can tell by the way the people pile in on a Friday Night that they have good food! Drinks were tasty and there were some beer specials. I think the Old Fashions were $5.50. After you have a drink (or 2) a waitress come by to take your order and when it’s ready they come and get you. The food will be on the table so you can sit right down and dig in. The potions are pretty large and the “cup” of soup is bigger than most bowls you would get at other restaurants. (We tried to order a bowl of soup and they talked us out of it… glad they did!). Prices of the food were on par or even on the lower side of most area fish fry’s. Our waiter and waitress were a married couple and they worked their ass off because they took care of the whole dinning area. Even though they were very busy they both took time to make sure we had everything we need and were happy with the food. There were some drawbacks. The bartenders were not very friendly… I would say even crabby. Not a good first impression. The place is cash only and it is tropical hot in there when it’s busy. If it’s warm outside be prepared to lose some water weight in sweat while eating. Actually very uncomfortable. But let’s be honest, it’s Wisconsin…. how many warm Friday nights are there!!

Chayz Lounge – Menu with Prices – 607 Meeting St, West Columbia

We came last evening for the first time traveling from Charlestin. SC to celebrate my husband’s Birthday. We loved the atmosphere. The entertainment for the evening was amazing! We loved the variety of songs and appreciated the band taking the time to acknowledge and sing Happy Birthday to all celebrating in the room. The food was tasty we enjoyed all of the selections chosen. The deviled eggs are especially wonderful. My only complaint was that the drinks were costly for the amount poured. I’m specifically speaking of the wine and single shots. We paid $18 dollars for 2 shots of “house” tequila and the shot glasses were short. I feel the same way about the wine portions. $ 8 for 4 oz. Of of wine, should be 4 ounces. I used to be a bartender and so I speak from experience. Drinks are expensive and if customers should get what they pay for. Over all, we had a wonderful evening and will surely be returning in the future.

Odd Birds Bar – Menu with Prices – 33 Charlotte St, St. Augustine

We stopped in last night following a sign that the upstairs was open that night. We decided to give it a try as we were looking for a place to have a drink after arriving in St. Augustine. We’re so glad we stopped by! Bridget was our bartender and she pointed out the Bartenders Call drink. Basically, you tell them what kind of alcohol you like, what you don’t like and they make a drink based on your tastes. I decided to try the Bartenders Call. She made us her version of an old fashioned with chocolate bitters complete with a smoke box. It was so much fun and so tasty. It was very interesting to watch them put the craft cocktails together – they are more then bartenders – they have their drinks to a science! All of their concoctions on the bar to make these amazing drinks and to watch them make the drinks was very entertaining. Mixologists for sure! So much more than bartenders! The atmosphere was nice, and a band was setting up for the night so we decided to stay a little longer. We ended up staying all evening – the band was awesome and the drinks were amazing! After Bridget left for the evening, Cesar became our bartender and his drink was amazing as well. We liked our cocktails so much, we decided to try the food. Which was also tasty well! We both ordered Arepas – his was a gyro and mine had shredded beef (can’t remember the name). Both were delicious! We would definitely come back! And recommend to friends as well!

Streamline Barber Co Menu with Prices 1207 S 1st St, Austin

Brat is hands down THE BEST barber I have ever come to know! Ever since she started in Kansas city, I have been sending my friends to her. Even when she was in Dallas, I referred them and they love what she did! Brat is professional, clean, and very thorough. She is very detail oriented and will make sure that u r 100% satisfied with her work. My friends always looked at me crazy when I (a white chick) say I know somebody (a female) who can have u looking better than ever and hook u up better than any man ever has, but I book them an appointment anyways (regardless of the look on their faces) and they go and end up becoming regulars or come back to their home state and look for somebody who can do what she does but nobody can live up to it. Brat is truly talented and a true artist! NOBODY DOES IT LIKE SHE CAN!!!

Big Lick Brewing Company, LLC – Menu with Prices – 409 Salem Ave SW, Roanoke

My wife and I stopped in to check the place out. This is probably one of the nicest breweries that I have visited in the Roanoke area. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, which is really nice. They also have a pretty good beer selection from lagers to IPA. The beer that I liked the most was the West Station Pils. It was really good on a warm Friday evening. It is also very dog friendly… I don’t have a dog but I like having them around. There was also a band playing called Wake the Sun and they were pretty good. This place was packed on Friday evening! It has a very relaxed atmosphere and they had a guy that was continually collecting glasses from the outdoor area so it didn’t get junked up with glasses. They do not serve food but there is a taco place across the street and they keep a waitress going back and forth so that is a really nice convenience. There are two cons and they are not huge. 1. Parking can be a challenge. Even though they have 3 or so lots to park in, they were already all full when we got there. The longer we stayed, the more crowded it got… I have no idea where those people parked! There may be somewhere nearby that I am unaware of. 2. There was only one order point for drinks. The bartenders did a good job keeping it moving, but the line was from the counter to the door pretty much everytime I went to get a refill. But it did move pretty fast. This is a definite return visit for me! We are already talking about meeting some friends there! Definitely give this place a try.

Bahia Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1476 W Buckingham Rd, Garland

Overall our experience was a mixed bag. We came here on a Saturday evening for a late dinner and drinks. We made reservations for six and when we arrived I don’t think they had any idea who we were. They initially seated us in a very cramped table that only fit four, but minutes later the hostess found us another table were we were actually able to all sit down. The restaurant was packed and very loud. So one of the main attractions to this restaurant was the live music. When we arrived there was a DJ playing. The music here is extremely loud and it makes it very difficult to speak to the waiters or to anyone else on your table. The band did come in around 11pm and they played a variety of music including salsa and merengue. Overall the music was good throughout the whole evening. They have a large open area for dancing and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. For dinner I had a mixed fajita plate and my wife had the vuela a la vida coctel. The food is just okay, but taking the price into consideration makes it a good deal. The majority of their plates are lower priced than most restaurants with a similar menu. Other than the stale chips and salsa the rest of the meal was fine. We did order a couple of buckets of beer and mixed drinks throughout the night. The mixed drinks were not a hit, all the ladies did not finish their drinks. No complaints on the buckets of beer, I think they sell at $19 for six which is not a bad price. The service was also hit or miss. The waitress took forever on the mixed drinks but had our buckets of beer delivered to our table quickly. As mentioned before it’s difficult to hear due to the music so we were constantly repeating orders. The food came out quickly with no issues. Overall I recommend this place if you are looking for a cheap dining option and/or looking for some live music where your not going to spend a ton. There is definite room for improvement throughout but for the price you can’t complain too much.

Mastrella’s Irondequolt Steak – Menu with Prices – 4300 Culver Rd, Rochester

I went to see The All Inn Band on a Saturday night, no cover charge. I have also been there before to eat. The food was good and drinks reasonable. When we approached the bar for our first drinks, the bartender was in front if us and we waited for her to finish texting on her phone before she acknowledged us, not very professional. When there is a band the tables from the band area are added to the other tables, it makes it difficult to walk around, very crowded.

Drunken Oyster Menu with Prices 7606 SW 45th Ave Ste 100, Amarillo

I ate here when they first opened and was not impressed. We had a night out with friends and decided to try it again. It was amazing! We had the oyster sampler, which had oysters prepared 5 different ways, wifey- shrimp grits (Very tasty) and me-N’Awlins Fra Diavolo- Calamari, little necks, shrimp, crawfish, spicy basil tomato broth (dang good!) We also had drinks from the bar. If you’re a fan of Texas Tea, they make a GOOD ONE! Ashton, our server, was on top of his game. He was fun, able to joust with our quips and hold his own. He made the evening so much fun! There was a band, Tee Tuckness, which had a very complimentary sound for the evening. We so much enjoyed the time here and the cuisine.

Dicey Business Inc. (LLBO) – Escape Rooms and Board Game Cafe – Menu with Prices – 6905 Millcreek Dr, Mississauga

Wow! My first board game cafe experience was amazing. Honestly, as soon as we stepped in we were greeted by possibly the friendliest woman in the whole world. So sweet, walked us through everything and dropped by to check in. We ordered a latte and a milkshake. Both were simple and tasty. The menu was exactly what you’d like to snack on while playing games. The prices were awesome too! Very fair for what you get. We played for a few hours and enjoyed the quieter early evening hours and left before the rush. We will certainly return sometime soon!

Zandra?s Taqueria, Fairfax – Menu with Prices – 3950 University Dr STE 210, Fairfax

***3 1/2 Stars*** We were in the area and the mood for tacos so we decided to stop in on a whim. It was super packed both inside and outside but we were able to get two seats at the bar. The menu is pretty eclectic and so is the decor. They have quesadillas, a variety of tacos, nachos, empanadas, and other food. They also have a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. The bartender (who also appeared to be serving multiple tables) took our drink and food order. We both ordered mojitos- I ordered the classic mojito while the husband ordered a mojito with an aged rum. We each ordered 2 tacos- husband ordered the fried chicken taco and chorizo and egg taco; I ordered the ahi tuna fish taco and carne asada. The tacos can come in your choice of corn, flour, or lettuce wrap which I liked. Our drinks came out first and were quite strong. They were definitely pouring heavy the night we came. Our food came out soon after- everything was hot and made to order. The tacos themselves were tasty. They were stuffed with filling but not exploding which I appreciated. My fish taco was spicy but good. My husband enjoyed the chorizo and egg taco. The elote corn which came in some of our tacos was also good. I would consider ordering it as a side the next time. Staff was friendly throughout our meal. The only reason I gave this place 3 1/2 stars was they seemed to be understaffed. The servers were running around and seemed a bit stretched, even for a Friday night. We had to wait a little bit to order but overall a good taco option.

Sockeye Brewing Menu with Prices 12542 W Fairview Ave, Boise

Friday night they have halibut fish and chips! Woohoo! Virtually no wait on a Friday night. Got our party of 7 a nice table semi on the patio. The back half of our table was right along the bar inside. Which was fine for viewing NBA, NHL, baseball games on the 3 screens. I must say for $14 you get a nice light side of coleslaw, an abundance of fries, and tasty beer battered halibut. I do appreciate how my little ones have a nice large kiddie menu to choose from. With fish and chips being an option too. Although it doesn’t list it on the kids menu, drinks do come with. Eating out is one of the few times my kids are allowed to get soft drinks ? They had 2 sour beers on tap. I do like a good sour! But I have to say, my hubby’s nitro cream ale was superb. Service was not spectacular despite the massive amounts of wait staff on hand. Never was offered refills on water or kid drinks. My brother-in-law waited almost 20mins for another beer he ordered. I think server only cared if we ordered the expensive alcoholic drinks to check to offer more. Not good when I can blatantly pick up on that tactic. We had very long gaps and very few check backs. I felt we had to hunt/wave her down if ever we needed anything. It was kind of loud but we could hardly hear/understand her as she never spoke up and seemed to mumble. I believe it to be important to be understandable and clear when talking to your patrons. Especially if you are busy. Not walking away, leaving the table hanging and customers wondering “Huh”? So, despite the service, the food and beer were tasty. The patio lovely. I adore the sound of their water feature and the lack of smelling cigarette smoke despite being outside. (A pet peeve of mine). They had a great selection of sports on their TVs too; with something for everyone to enjoy. Always on the hunt for good halibut in the Boise area, this fit the bill. Hence the 4 stars instead of 3 for meh service. **Another sad ending to yet another Boise establishment, as the Cole location of Sockeye has shuttered their doors ?
