This review is long overdue but I visited this shop during the Mrs. Maisel promo when several businesses offered certain items priced like what it used to be in the 50s. This shop is located in the Americana where I went hoping to grab some major deals. I was lucky enough to get something from two other establishments because most of the stores had very limited quantities. I was almost ready to give up but still tried this store. Major props to the employees who accepted customers until the end of the promotion period when everyone else stopped already. Three people were working hard nonstop mixing and rolling ice cream for a long line of customers. They were offering the Cookie Monster with Oreos mixed in with vanilla ice cream. In other words, it turned to be a cookie n cream kind of rolled ice cream. Staff didn’t even skimmed on the quantity as the bowl was full to the brim.

Mixing Bowl Cookie Dough Menu with Prices 5580 S Parker Rd, Aurora

MBCD is not only bigger than you thought it would be inside, it’s delightfully as good as you want your local cookie dough and ice cream shop to be. More than anything, the service here is really stands out because this is a dessert place that takes a little more explaining than your normal ice cream shop. After having Doughp (born in SF, made famous in Las Vegas) a while back, I started seeing more of these cookie dough places pop up around the country. Denver, being the very mediocre-to-just-OK food city that it is, is just starting to get in the cookie dough shop game, five years after the coasts did. While that’s annoying, that’s the state of the Denver food scene, but I’m happy that Mixing Bowl is representing the movement in a great way. Cookie dough on its own is really, really dense. By the end of a small cup, if you’re like most people, you’ve had enough. The best part about Mixing Bowl is that they also have a delicious selection of ice cream flavors to go with your cookie dough. Mixing good ice cream with good cookie dough makes for a great dessert, and it makes for a much better experience. Everyone working there is happy to let you sample flavors, and they’re super helpful to help you figure it out if you’re there for the first time. It’s clean. The combos are plentiful. The people are nice. This is such a great addition to this section of Parker Road, and it’s a fun place to get a break from your typical dessert!

Novel Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 1028 Grand Ave #6, Phoenix

Novel Ice Cream is, in a single word, delicious. Read on to hear see the rest of the story, but the short version is this: this is incredible ice cream; personally served by a gracious and knowledgeable owner. Each flavor is unique and everything tasted delicious. I would go all in and get the ice cream served on the donut for a truly spectacular experience. . . Arizona during the summer gets hot and nothing beats a cool scoop of ice cream. As such, I am always on the hunt for new and interesting places to get a frozen scoop of deliciousness. A quick Google of best ice cream shops in Arizona revealed to my friend and I that Novel was not just one of the best ice creams in Arizona, but very likely, the best ice cream in the U.S. We had to try it.. . When we arrived Saturday evening there was already the start of a line. Given all the accolades this physically small (maybe a few hundred square feet) ice cream shop was getting a line was expected. However, do not despair, the line moves quickly, the people are friendly, and the entire time anticipation builds for what was going to be a delicious scoop (or two). . . When it was our turn in line, we found the owner personally scooping ice cream for customers. He greeted each one of us, was incredibly gracious, and was extremely knowledgeable about this product. â??Our bacon comes from hereâ?¦this is a 16% butterfat mixtureâ?¦our donuts are created specifically for us to create these sandwiches.â? He encouraged us to try different flavor options. Even though there was a line out the door, the owner took time to make conversation and introduced himself personally (as did my friends and I). . . I chose the Burbon coffee toffee and the bright blue cookie monster. Once we received our dessert my friends and I went outside and started tasting. It was more delicious then we could have imagined. Incredible flavor and texture the perfect treat for a hot summers evening. I will be back!

Notorious Creamery – Menu with Prices – 908 N Flagler Dr, Fort Lauderdale

This creamery will soon be notorious in the Fats Flager Village in Ft. Lauderdale and I don’t mean notoriously bad, I mean bad as in really really good! I found them on Instagram and after seeing a few pictures, I knew I had to see for myself. Notorious Creamery is a quaint ice cream shop. I’m loving the artsy street art vibe on the outside and clean black and white designs in the inside. There is some seating inside and a few tables and a picnic bench on the outside. The menu is simple and the person behind the counter quickly explained all the flavors to us. The cool part is ordering the “Dealers Choice” which is any flavor, topping combination chosen by the employee. You won’t have any word in what you get, you just get it like it or not. For the open minded and not for the picky. It’s always a good deal though, because everything looks delicious. You can make a suggestion on what you prefer but ultimately it’s up to the “dealer”. I got the “Dealers Choice” and got handed a scrumptious waffle cone filled with “Cookie Monster” ice cream which is the color of the real Cookie Monster, blue. It’s filled with cookie dough and oreo cookie pieces, topped with more oreos and a waffle topping. It was AMAZING! I only got 1 scoop but it was enough for me. My daughter got a Raspberry ice cream that was more simple but also great. Value was good, I paid $12 for two single scoop cones with toppings each, not bad and worth it. I will definitely be back especially during this hot summer in South Florida.

Insomnia Cookies – Menu with Prices – 116 E University Dr Suite 104, Tempe

Stopped around 11:30 pm on Wednesday and people were still coming and going. The inside is quite small so the line was kinda out the door. The menu is easy to read and they have prices and all the different cookie selections posted. They also sell ice cream sandwiches! My friend ended up getting the combo which included two cookies and a milk for about $6. I wanted a sugar cookie but unfortunately they didn’t have any… So I ended up getting an oatmeal raisin. The oatmeal raisin was dry and a little on the harder side… I felt like I was eating a cookie from frys.. They were unfortunately out of a lot of cookies on this night so the selection was limited.. I looked at the ice cream selection they had and I literally LOLed when I saw what kind of vanilla ice cream they had… Umm is that the party ice cream tubs you can buy at the grocery store?…. The employees were friendly but umm not sure if they take their job serious.. the inside is dark and feels sketchy. The floor had dried up sticky ice cream all over.. and so did the table.. I definitely would pass on this. There are so many cookie shops popping up that are 10000x better then this…

Monster Roll Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 11955U Fair Oaks Mall, Fairfax

I love this place!!! It’s always super fresh and yummy. The employee are very friendly and do a great job rolling the ice cream and arranging it. It’s made infront of your eyes so it’s really fresh. Also it tastes really good and looks super cute. I’ve tasted ice cream from around the world, but nothing compares to Monster Roll Ice Cream. I’d definitely come again! *note: I went there again this morning, and I don’t regret it at all. The girl called Lia is very nice and the ice cream she prepared looked amazing.

Afters Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 918 Spectrum Center Dr, Irvine

Having tried Afters Ice Cream at their other Irvine location (Diamond Jamboree plaza), I had an idea of what to expect. When I arrived on a Saturday night, the line stretched out to the door. Fortunately the line moved along. Pricing was as follows: 1 scoop $4.50 2 scoops $6.50 Milky Bun $6.50 (includes 1 free topping and 1 scoop of ice cream) The staff was extremely friendly and let me try as many samples as I wanted to. I sampled cookie monster (similar to cookies and cream), banana walnut, and triple c. I had previously tried Jasmine milk tea and Vietnamese coffee at the other Irvine location and those flavors were really good. However this time around I went with a scoop of the triple c (chocolate, caramel, and chocolate fudge). I enjoyed the creaminess of the ice cream that Afters is known for as well as the delicious combination of chocolate, caramel, and fudge mixed in. Overall service was friendly and helpful. The ice cream is definitely one of the better ones out there. When I last visited their other Afters location in Irvine, pricing was 10% cheaper, which I thought was already high to begin with. Now that it’s gone up by 10% I’m not too thrilled. Given the size of a single scoop and the price point, it’s over priced and it’s for that reason this place is a 3 star affair as far as I’m concerned.

Cherry Chill – Ice Cream Rolls – Menu with Prices – 2448 S Vineyard Ave #110, Ontario

Oh look. The DIY iced cream joint got a 5 star review from another human being with an iced cream bias. Let us find out why. Cherry Chill lets every iced cream crazed freak on its premises make whatever they want to concoct. Care to arrange a bunch of gummi bears as is they’re lumbering all over soft serve mtn.? Go for it. How about a bunch of blue sharks washed up on chocolate beach? Be my guest. Fill a cup with sprinkles and throw it skyward, if you like. Just when I thought reality could not get any more out of control loco at Cherry Chill, the mgmt. goes ahead and introduces the Cookie Monster yogurt flavor. The eerie truth about this new flavor is it tastes much, much better than I expected. I actually preferred it to Cookies ‘n’ Cream. Worse and weirder than that fact: the yogurt is as blue as the Cookie Monster’s cheeks on a chilly day. Does it turn the tongue blue? Get ready for blue-pers. Every receipt from Cherry Chill should have coupons for whitening toothpaste. I don’t want to go into too much depth about the blue iced cream. The weight of the iced cream I ate should not be a topic of discussion either. Read the lips of anyone walking out of Cherry Chill: Blue Iced cream tastes like Cookies.

The Local Scoop – Menu with Prices – 5355 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy, Charlotte

I LOVE ice cream! Who doesn’t, right? To me there is no right season to have ice cream, every season is ice cream season but now that summer is officially here we can use it as an excuse to eat it more and more ? My husband and I were in this area and decided to check this place out and oh my gosh, it was such a great decision. Their shop is cute with some tables inside and chairs for little children which I though was so nice to have. They have a lot of options to choose from and they are all delicious. This time my husband and I decided to go with a peanut butter brownie Sunday. You can choose topping to add to it as well, even though we shared a small we thought it was more than enough for 2 people so maybe if you get the bigger option you might need to consider sharing with more than one person. Ice cream was really good but I missed the brownie in it. Next time we will go for the Cookie Monster that we tried and was really good as well.

Prince Pucklers Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 1605 E 19th Ave, Eugene

First time ever in Eugene visiting a freind and we decided to get some ice cream from a place she told me was amazing. I was excited because I love ice cream. We get to the spot and there is a long line, proves that it was a very good ice cream place. Our turns come up and there are so many flavors so I quickly skim through and ask to taste 2 flavors and was then asked “have you decided what you are going to get already?” Because “we have a long line”. I was really taken aback by such a comment seeing as though no one else in the entire line has gotten such a comment. I have been to ice cream places around the world with 4 times the amount of flavor choices and have never ever been told to “hurry up”. If I was a regular, maybe that would have been easier to get through but this was my first time. I asked the nice lady at the register if it was customary for them to rush their customers on their ice cream choices and she said no followed by an apology. I took a picture of the grumpy mean old lady who snapped at me , just a thought w.e your name is maybe you shouldn’t be working at an ice cream shop if you have no patience in general or if you don’t have any patience with people of other races and religion. Add her picture so you know who she is.

Hershey’s Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 301 S Cameron St, Harrisburg

My wife and I bought Hershey’s Ice Cream Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Premium Ice Cream from a local Shop n Save, hoping for a really good ice cream night for our family. We were very disappointed. After 4 bowls of ice cream not one chunk of cookie dough was found. After 2 more bowls still no cookie dough and after finishing the carton no cookie dough to be found at all and about 10 chocolate chips were consumed. The ice cream did have a good flavor and consistency. We expected much more from a quality company like Hershey’s.

Texan Donuts – Menu with Prices – 1913 S Jupiter Rd, Garland

My company orders these awesome donuts that equally as creative as they are delicious! But I never could find out where they are from. I had told my kids and wife about the cookie monster and spider Man designs, and they woke up saying today was the day. So I spent quite a long time searching pictures on Yelp and Google, then finally I found them, Texan Donuts!!!! It was 11:30 when finally walked in the door, 30 minutes till closing on a Saturday… Yikes!!! But the young lady behind the counter was sooooo unbelievably kind she special made both cookie monster and Spidey for my kiddos, not to mention a few other special ones! I was a fan of this place before I even knew the name and how kind the people that work there are, but now, this is the only donut place for me and my family. Loved the cronut too, never had one and it was really good!!! Thank you Soo much for the donuts and the above and beyond service!!!? ð??ð??ð??

Rollos Rolled Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt – Menu with Prices – 1201 Hewitt Dr #211b, Waco

My girl friend and I came here wanting to have a great experience trying Rollo’ s ice cream but we in turn got the exact opposite. It was very confusing how the line worked until we realized that it was the line for both self serve and the rolled ice cream. They had very few choices and what was available was already melted and almost out. The topping bar was understocked and very messy. There were tons of people but only 3 employees working who looked very overwhelmed and stressed out. Employees were not pleasant and didn’t interact with any of the customers. Place was a mess and trashcan was overflowing onto the ground. Needless to say, we won’t be back.
