First off I just want to say that the staff there are much more welcoming and have been very friendly to both me and my friend when we have gone. However, I canâ??t say the same for the owner. He acted really rude and seemed to b upset at me today (when he came in because he was not there when my friend and I had already gotten there) when I simply had moved the white nearby table for kids thatâ??s near the couch/sofa area, (which nobody was even occupying at the time nor ever even asked to use, there were also no kids even present there when we got there nor during the time me and my friend were there) to use my laptop by the couch/sofa becus the table that is there in front of the couch/sofa is simply for magazines and putting your drink on is short in height to use a laptop on and there was no other place to sit when me and my friend got there and he gave a tone and said he â??wanted people to feel welcome thereâ? as he moved the chairs and I hadnâ??t moved any other furniture such as the chairs around and I simply told him that I was just using the table for my laptop computer since it was a little taller in height compared to the other table and he first said that was fine but then immediately said oh r u done using your computer yet? and I said ok Iâ??m sorry and I then proceeded to remove my off the table, and my friend decided to move the table back to its place. I told him me and my friend only sat there at the sofa area since me and her usually like to sit in the other private room by the kitchen/employee area but she felt uncomfortable sitting in the other room becus there were already a lot of ppl there and the other tables were occupied when we had arrived and she decided that she wanted to sit on the sofa area which was fine with me but he didnâ??t wanna hear any of my explanation. If the owner does not like the furniture such as the tables being moved, THERE SHOULD AT LEAST BE A SIGN THERE NOT to move any of the tables (that r not mounted) or chairs around so that nobody moves any of the furniture, the staff that were there never told me I couldnâ??t move the table either and I did not feel friendly hospitality there at all today with his attitude all becus of simply moving a table that was nearby closer to use, I wouldnâ??t recommend this place becus of the ownerâ??s attitude, he couldnâ??t even thank my friend for moving the table back either, he claimed he wasnâ??t upset at me but obviously he was becus of the table being moved just a couple of feet. People come to this place to chill, and my friend and I came so I could help her with her schoolwork. Also the place could use sum blinds by the windows becus the sun is extremely hot and even yesterday and today that I sat at two different spots while I was there with my friend the sun hits really hard. Overall, totally unprofessional and uncalled for.

Osaka Mobile – Menu with Prices – 3827 Airport Blvd, Mobile

My husband and I have been here many times before and haven’t ever really run into any problems. I once went on my own and had a rough experience with a waiter who had been there for a day or so. His service was fine but the owner woman kept yelling at him loud enough that I could hear and I felt terrible. Today we went there for lunch and wanted Hibachi. As soon as we arrive they seat us at a table with two people on the end and right across was a full table (the hibachi tables are connected). The couple thought it was weird that they made us sit together (which it was) and they left. We waited about five minutes for the waitress to get our drink order. She brought our waters and we then waited another 15 minutes for her to come back to the table. She told us that another table across the room was there first and we’d have to wait another 15-20 minutes. We didn’t mind waiting but we would have like to have known that a little sooner. She then takes our order. Then the owner comes over to the table while my husband is in the restroom and asked if we want to move over to the table across the room because “it will be quicker”. I told her I wanted to wait and ask my husband and she said ok. She came back 5 more times and asked me the same question and I repeatedly told her I wanted to wait. At this point I was fed up. My husband comes back and we move tables after having been there for about 30 minutes. My husband and I realize that they wanted us to move so they could cook our food with that same large group, to which we knew we would be receiving a smaller portion size because you can’t cook for 12 on one Hibachi grill. So we up and walked out with no food. The owner is very pushy and inconsiderate. The staff is not well trained. It’s a shame because we love the food there. Probably won’t be back.

Pj’s Coffee – Menu with Prices – 5733 Read Blvd, New Orleans

Stopped in on a hot Sunday afternoon for some leisure reading and journaling. Upon entering, this is the nicest PJs I’ve ever been to. The decor and furniture is a Restoration Hardware vibe, a nice addition to New Orleans East. I received a warm welcome from the cashier and after a quick and pleasant exchange, i received my iced chai with almond milk. Wasn’t the best iced chai I’ve had, but i chopped it up to preference. I would love, if they don’t already have them, for them to transition to sip cups or paper straws. I love the variety of seating which includes chairs, tables, sofa, counter seating, as well as outdoor tables and chairs. There’s also parking in the front and i think along the side. It was a bit loud for my preference, as i came to read, but i understand it’s not a library lol. However, after a short while, I’m assuming the manager or owner, while greeting customers, asked if the music was too loud. I love coffee & tea and am very excited to have not just a coffee shop, but one as beautiful as this PJs in my neighborhood. I hope this is a glimpse of the future of New Orleans East.

Moe & Johnny’s – Menu with Prices – 5380 N College Ave, Indianapolis

The place wasnâ??t busy, decided to stop in for a lunch on Sunday, no hostess on duty and not many staff. As tables filled up the solo staff, really unpleasant, waitress just ended up running drinks to the entire out door section and couldnâ??t get orders taken and orders she had couldnâ??t get out of the kitchen. I couldnâ??t find her or any staff at all after a terribly long wait and so I went to the open kitchen and found a single cook and my meal just sitting on the deck to be served, I told the cook it was mine and asked if he could find a way to get it to the table. He tried and rang his bell and my waitress walked out the door and took another order and left the food. Somebody else kindly delivered it to the table, cold, missing items.

Hilton Garden Inn Fort Myers Airport/FGCU – Menu with Prices – 16410 Corporate Commerce Way, Fort Myers

I stayed here for two nights on a business trip. The first night I went downstairs to the restaurant and worked – for the record at most there were only 2-3 other tables filled and I ordered food/wine the entire time I was there. The 2nd night I went down to the restaurant. As I pulled out my laptop, I was told their boss – Jeff Broderick – did not allow laptops “because it was fish fry night and they wanted to get people in and out”. I was asked to leave. Same as the night before, I intended to drink and eat while working. At that point how do you turn down a paying customer? Irony: Manager Jeff Broderick was at the bar – working. Which I was told was not allowed and asked to leave. I left and came back downstairs at 7 PM or shortly after – there were 6 tables available and three seats at the bar. There was a large party of 6 that was there before I got there and stayed and an hour after I got there – I guess it was ok to stay if you didn’t have a laptop. When the fish fry/buffet ended, customers couldn’t get to the food for the employees. I counted 6 employees getting their free food in front of paying customers. The bartender had to answer his cell and disappear to eat his plate of food at one point. The bartender when asked by other male customers if he would stay open past closing said no. Then the male customers said, ” but money talks, right?” Of course he (the bartender) said, yes. Jeff Broderick should be far less worried about a paying customer who simply wanted to eat/drink while working – than his own actions and those of his staff.

Our Daily Nada – Menu with Prices – 304 Delaware St, Kansas City

Today was my first time coming here. This is located near the City Market area. It’s a bookstore/bar/cafe that is very spacious which has plenty of seating and nice decor with many comfy chairs and small tables. Mainly for reading or having a quick bite/drink. I love the environment here. I was helped by a guy named Ethan. He took my order and told me a little about the opening of the bookstore and how it works which is good for studying, chilling, reading books from the shelves and buying products they sell. I ordered a Hot Chai Tea Latte with Almond Milk. It was very delicious! I did have trouble getting connected to their free Wifi, their wifi network didn’t show up on the available network list on my laptop. I asked for help a few times from two different employees. The first guy I asked told me to restart my laptop and try again. The second time, I asked Ethan when he came by to check if everything was okay and he was very friendly with helping me and made sure to check with his coworkers to resolve my issue. He assured me my problem is very common with other people as well and said to have my laptop up and the network should pop up after a few minutes. So now, I am waiting to connect to their wifi… So far, I like the service and the environment. Not so much the wifi issue.. But, I’d say this is definitely a cool place to hangout and come back to!

Holiday Inn & Suites Waco Northwest – Menu with Prices – 1801 N Development Blvd, Waco

My friend and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Waco this last weekend for the Silo Marathon. The hotel was reasonably priced and appeared to be kept clean and up to date. I was surprised when we got to our room and the couch and chair at the desk (appears to be made with fake leather) was pealing and falling apart. The rest of the room appears to be in tip top shape, so I could not understand why the furniture was allowed to look this way without being replaced? Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of these pieces of furniture to show you what I am talking about. Other than that, the hotel staff during check-in was extremely friendly and fast. I however, did not like that the breakfast was not complimentary but room service is an option, which on the flip side, is a nice option if you want to pay a little more (we did not end up utilizing this service). We did not end up eating at the restaurant inside the hotel, even though were were offered a 10 percent off coupon because it was Cinco De Mayo so we ended up at a Mexican Restaurant near the Silos. All in all, Waco has limited choices if your ballen on a budget, so we would recommend this hotel, the hotel management just needs to review some of the furniture in the hotel and consider replacing it.

Sunergos Coffee – Menu with Prices – 1647 Norris Pl, Louisville

My first time at Sunergos Coffee! After a relaxing yoga session an iced coffee sounded great. I wasn’t sure what to expect for parking but Sunergos has a small parking lot and the street offered much more. The shop had its garbage doors opened to show everyone sitting inside. A few tables and chairs offered a 70’s vibe and picnic tables sat next to the building to provide more seating. I also noticed a high top ledge next to the door where a gentleman stood working on his laptop. The staff was very friendly and took my order right away. I waited only a few minutes to get my iced latte. One shot of vanilla was included at no charge. With tip, the large was slightly under $6. Overall it was okay. It didn’t have a strong coffee or vanilla flavor which made it “meh” compared to other coffee shops. I drink coffee for the flavor as much as the caffeine punch so if I revisit I would try another drink. Sunergos has a great vibe from the open doors to the music and vintage furniture. I enjoyed cracking open a book and browsing my phone. This would be a decent spot to sit with a friend but the tables are fairly close so don’t come and expect privacy. Besides the drink menu they offer a small menu of food. This is also a dog friendly shop with dog bones on the counter.

Fate Brewing Company – Menu with Prices – 201 E Southern Ave Suite 111, Tempe

So… this is my first time at this restaurant/bar. I came here with my husband and a group to celebrate the retirement of one of his coworkers. It was the first time for all of us, and we were looking forward to experiencing a new place. When we asked in we were not greeted so we figured we just needed to find a seat. We saw a table in the back which was not big enough. There was a larger height top with a couple sitting at the end. They saw us and offered to move. We thought that was incredibly nice, and tile them we did not want to put them out. They insisted. Then a short bearded man with a “man bun” came buy and told them not too move. We assumed the table was taken so we were going to find another table. In the meantime one of our friends decided to ask if the table was available , and they told her it was. So we procedes to sit down. The short t guy turned out to be the manager for that evening and his name is John. He proceeded to tell my friend she is a liar when she told him the hostess said the table was available. In all of my years as a consumer I have never been so humiliated. The worst part is when he continuously walked by the table and gave us bad looks and shook his head. Who does that?? What establishment manager doesn’t know the old modo “the customer is always right”? It’s too bad they’ve decided to employ such a negative person. I hope they reconsider his employment, otherwise they will lose a lot of business. Despite the negative vibe this inexperienced clueless man (John) added to our evening, as “Fate” would have it we enjoyed celebrating our friend’s special day anyway. The food is good as are the drinks.

Bedford Basin Farmers Market – Menu with Prices – 397 Bedford Hwy, Halifax

STUDENTS NOT WELCOME My friend and I are students at MSVU. We had a break from class and my friend wanted to go get a tea from Bedford Basin Farmers Market, and she studies there fairly often. I had never been there before. We arrived at approximately 5 pm and there were only approximately 5 other customers there. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. My friend ordered a tea and an energy ball, for about $10. I had a thermos with me that had hot water, lemon and agave in it. I wanted to get settled and sit down before I ordered anything and try a bit of my friend’s energy ball before I ordered one for myself. When the server (Alyona) looked over at me, before she even asked if I would like to order something, said “you can’t have that in here… you have to take it to your car,” referring to my thermos, and she pointed to a sign. I explained that it was just some water. She then proceeded to demand I open it and show her. She insisted that it was tea and that I was not allowed to have it. A little taken aback, I asked if I could just put the thermos in my bag and she said, seemingly annoyed, that was fine. I was carrying a heavy backpack and my friend was getting her tea so I figured I would put my thermos in my bag when we sat down. We went upstairs and I put my thermos down and started talking to my friend and took out my laptop to review a couple things before we headed back to class. I quickly forgot about my thermos, which was closed on the edge of the table. Within a few minutes this server came upstairs, to what I believe was only to see if I had put my thermos away. She immediately came over and said, very rudely, “if you don’t get rid of that you have to leave.” I was shocked, as I had forgotten about it and therefore had not even taken a sip of it. When I said I forgot and went to put it into my bag, she rolled her eyes and walked away. I felt so uncomfortable that I did not want to order anything from her, I decided to just sit quietly reviewing some notes and leave once my friend finished her tea. This server then circled our table with a co-worker for 20 minutes, making us both increasingly uncomfortable. Had my friend not had her tea in a mug we would have left. The server came up after some time and told me that she had given me half an hour to order something and because I hadn’t, I had to leave immediately. Shocked, I said my friend had not finished her tea yet, to which she retorted, she was not kicking my friend out, she was only kicking me out. My friend explained that we came together in her car and we had to leave together. I asked if we could leave if once she was done her tea but she said we had to leave immediately because I was not a customer and I could not just come in, sit and take up space, and study. She was incredibly rude and aggressive while saying this. She said it was not a place to study and students were not welcome. The sitting area was had many seats open, as there were very few people there. When my friend said that she, and others, came to study all the time, the server said that they were “trying to fix that problem.” Ironically, the two other individuals sitting alone were middle aged, but both were sitting with laptops open, and she had not spoken to them. My friend asked if we could speak with a manager or owner, who we assumed was the person who was circling our table earlier, with the server, as we felt attacked by the server. The server said that we could not because the owner had just left and said, “I am in charge now.” I asked if we could get a to-go cup for my friend’s tea, and she refused to even bring us one, she said we had to go downstairs to get a cup ourselves. When I asked if I could get her name so I could call the owner, she refused to give it to me, saying that the owner knew who she was, as she had been the other person circling our table. I had to ask 6 times until she finally gave me her name and the card for the store. When I

Butt Hutt BBQ Menu with Prices 480 Macon Hwy, Athens

After seeing a roach claw up the wall. We told our waitress and We were moved to another booth. My friend totally lost her appetite and couldnâ??t eat. Another waitress kilt the roach with a paper towel and continued to work. And DIDNâ??T WASH HER HANDS!!! Saying we infront of woods we gonna have bugs! We asked for Management. Who came over and offered 20% off. And stated every restaurant has â??roachesâ?. And would do it this time! At that point my friend stated she was highly offended and she wouldnâ??t be paying or returning. Even though my friend meal was compensated. I paid for my meal( appetizer corn nuggets). But the other waitress followed us out and took a picture of our car tag!!!! Never AGAIN!!!!! Claiming you were texting your childrenâ??s father. And then accused us of stealing food. â??Saying next time yâ??all wanna steal food go somewhere else.â?

Montes De Oca – Menu with Prices – 455 Hialeah Dr, Hialeah

Let me start by this is my first review ever written. I have never been one to criticize but I actually felt like getting up and leaving in this place. It was a sunday noon time and the parking lot was totally full due to a large community church on the property which shares the tiny, crowded parking lot with montes de oca. It was a mission trying to enter the lot as the entrance is used as an exit by church members. The pizzeria actually keeps two spaces up front blocked with an orange cone for no reason. I got off my car and asked if I could park in one of those spaces as there lot was full and those were the only ones available. I was told NO, that those spaces are set aside by the owner.. “first no”. Ok so we waited and eventually we parked and entered the pizzeria. I walk in and I’m told “have a seat, any seat”. Great! I head over to a table away and I am told to move tables that I can’t sit by the window and I have to be moved to a table by the busy kitchen window. I asked to sit away from their busy kitchen window and I am given my “second NO”. I proceed to order a cheese soup with ham and ask for an additional order of Ham on the side. Again I am told NO, my “third NO”. At this point I want to get up and leave, I am told I can only have the soup if they throw the extra ham I am ordering into the soup. This is upsetting as I like to add my ham as I go and not have it get lost in the soup “Hence why I pay for additional Ham”. Service was obviously not what I expected. Food was great like always it’s pizza though. They were not accommodating at all. Customer service isn’t this establishments priority and they made that clear from their lack of empathy.

De Luxe Banquet Hall – Menu with Prices – 237 E Olive Ave, Burbank

I NEVER write poor reviews. I am appalled at the lack of compassion and respect at the manager of this place and will actively inform others to NOT make reservations here. I suggest if you are reading this, you support another venue with people who will actually care about you and your event not just money. My friends and family hosted a memorial service here last week in order of a young woman who passed away. I would like to note, the waiters were kind and respectful. The manager (or whoever was in charge that day) was completely disrespectful, lacks tact and I hope takes a class in customer service or communication. Two of my friends merely moved seats and he had the nerve to rudely insist they were not allowed to move seats and wanted them to return back to the table they started at because they already ate food at another table (at this point only appetizers, still ridiculous). Another friend asked for more bread and was told “this is a banquet not a restaurant”. This may seem small at first glance but tone is everything. It was unreal and unconscionable how rude his tone of voice and requests were. An entire table was stunned in the middle of a grieving day. Mind you, EVERY guest just returned from burying their daughter, sister and friend. A horrible loss and the intent was to have a nice afternoon eating together and remembering this young woman’s life, not be approached by ridiculousness. I hope the owner reads this review, sits down with his manager and staff and teaches them to assess the room, what the guests have paid to be there for and to be KIND and decent. Money isn’t everything.
