Love this little place! I worked right by it and unfortunately only got to check it out once before getting laid off, but I definitely wish I’d gone more often! I had a grilled cheese sandwich, which was quite delightful. They had numerous other sandwiches to choose from, both warm and cold, and tons of snacks. I noticed they had some soup as well, which would be great for this cold weather we’ve been having. There’s a small seating area, which is nothing amazing but certainly better than nothing. This is a great place to stop by when you need to grab some lunch or a few snacks for the office!

The Soup Shop – Menu with Prices – 4100 N Wickham Rd, Melbourne

Holy smokes this place is GREAT! I just opened a second office in Melbourne and have been searching for quick, healthy, and tasty lunch options. Yes, this place is perfect for that but it’s so much more! While not all their soups are available hot every day they are all available either cold or frozen. Salads and some sandwiches are also available but honestly the soup is where it’s at. They also have a “soup flight” – 3 soups for when you just cannot decide. I brought my salad back to the office because I happily filled up on my (small) soup. Today I had the vegetarian (maybe vegan – I don’t know – no ham) split pea but I already have 4 or 5 or 10 I want to try next. It’s a bit of a longer hike than I like from my office so I’m sure I’ll do some to-go as well as cold or frozen options for the house. The person who waited on me was very friendly and offered me a sample of the hot soups they had today when I couldn’t decide. (Honestly, the first one I tried was so good I didn’t bother trying another one!) They do have a lot to offer so I suggest checking out their “daily offerings” on their website prior to going in to speed up ordering. You can also text something to a number that sends you the daily offerings but clearly I have forgotten what the number and the phrase is… It seems like it’s in a kind of sketchy area (maybe I’m wrong) so I’ll probably stick to daylight hours but that’s fine by me! Seating inside and out. They have a small bar with various seasonings/toppings and crackers.

Ande’s Gourmet Deli – Menu with Prices – 148 Amity Rd, New Haven

I decided to stop in to try something new and different for lunch. This place was it! I walked in noticed it had plenty of unique seating areas enough to fit a large party or a small group of people for lunch. The person at the counter was very nice and noticed it was my first time there. It has plenty of nice succulent items that made me drool at the mouth. She showed some hardy chicken soup that was made exactly how I like it. Pulled chunks of chicken with potatoes celery and carrots. That sold me right away, but then she showed me the daily specials. They had options like chicken, beef stew, and more. You can add white or yellow rice with black or pinto beans. At this point I was all in. “The food of my people”! I yelled inside of my head as I’m walking to the register with a large smile on my face ? I couldn’t wait to bring this back to the office to show off what I got but I also wanted to sit and eat this thing of beauty that I found. The lady at register was very nice I decided to add a tip for showing me these food treasures that was hidden inside this plaza, she added some bread for my soup which btw was adding the icing to the cake. I got to the office and I couldn’t wait to sink in to this great food. It was delicious as I was expecting and even more. I will be going back, maybe not everyday or else I will pack on the pounds cause there is lots more to try. They specialize in Mexican and other Latin type foods so I will have to venture slowly to try it all out. But for today it was a good eats today.

Proscenium Cafe & Market Menu with Prices 1170 Peachtree St NE # 150, Atlanta

Tucked in the corner on the first floor of the proscenium office building. Very clean and surprisingly spacious. Open seating and bright natural light surrounds the cafe. Some very lovely Korean ladies seem to run the place and are so courteous to all customers. I especially love that they have random Korean snacks on the counter. Prices are very reasonable. I picked up breakfast here before heading to meetings. A bowl of oatmeal (came with brown sugar and raisins), can of la croix, hot tea, and a chobani yogurt ran me $7. That’s pretty reasonable given anything at the hotel would’ve been well over $15 and nowhere near as healthy. Lunch time seems to be popular as well where they offer a special of the day (like bibimbop or udon). Plus there’s a build your own salad bar (many items to select from) and a pay-per-weight hot food bar. Pretty impressed for an office building cafe to have so many selections. I’d gladly come back again and grab another meal. Hopefully lunch next time.

NOMZ Menu with Prices INSIDE of the Northside Marketplace, 21 Furnace St Suite 404, Akron

All I can say is OMG. I just ordered lunch from here for the first time via doordash because I got tired of ordering from my usual list of places and I am completely blown away. I ordered the Broccoli Sub, the Roasted Red Pepper and Gouda soup and a side of the dill dip and I’m almost offended at how amazing everything tastes! How dare you make me feel great about eating bread when I’m not supposed to because there’s some bomb broccoli in it?! I broke a promise to myself to not touch bread during the month of April and I don’t feel the slightest hint of guilt after eating here! I feel good! Not sluggish and bogged down like I would had I ordered something similar from other places. How did you guys find a way to make a healthy, wonderful tasting sub? What is this witchcraft!? LOL I took a bite of my sub and a sip of my soup and literally got up to share how amazing everything was with others around my office. I’m the foodie here so my opinion is always respected and considered when it comes to bringing food in. People started looking the menu up right in front of me and they were so impressed, we’re all considering ordering from here tomorrow! Excellent job guys! Can’t wait to come back and refer others that stop by my office looking for lunch suggestions! ?

YETI Charleston – Menu with Prices – 360 King St, Charleston

Well, I never thought I would have frequented a Yet store so much since it’s opening. This place is great, so much stuff and the products are really amazing! They’ve got a little bar and 6-8p i believe is the Happy hour time with 3$ beer and wine. The have frose and frozen sake sangria. The beer was served in a Yeti beer tumbler so it stay cooler longer. Product wise, If you are military you get a fantastic discount. Tons of charleston pride in this store as well for Clemson fans! We have gotten several bottles and different lids and i LOVE it! i used to carry around 2 reusables because I am out and about all day for work and by 4p my water is warm and gross, especially in hot humid weather. But since my yeti purchase, I hardly have to refill and it’s cold up until i get back home in the evening. Dear Yeti… you are amazing and we love you! Thanks for keeping us hydrated! Thank you for being dog friendly and we will be slowly building our Yeti collection! Next up… COOLER!

Los Chilangos Menu with Prices 14008 NE 8th St, Bellevue

Taqueria Los Chilangos is a solid food truck, serving Mexican favorites. Its truck is located at the Shell gas station at the intersection of 8th and 140th, where they’re open all day. I came here to grab some quick dinner for my boyfriend and me, as I was in the area for a meeting and spotted Taqueria Los Chilangos’ truck. I ordered five tacos, two with carnitas, two with al pastor and one with chupa cabras. For also checking in on Yelp I got free chips and salsa. On a Tuesday around 7pm, there were quite a few people waiting out in the cold for the goods. Of all the tacos, I actually thought the chupa cabras was the best. It’s not something I’d normally choose with street tacos, as it’s a combination of carne asada and chorizo, but I definitely recommend trying it. I’ve never seen this meat option at other taquerias, which is what intrigued me the most. I’m glad it ended up being a favorite. The al pastor tacos were also good, especially with the pineapple on top, which I think all al pastor tacos should have! But the carnitas, which is usually my go-to protein of choice with street tacos, was sadly, disappointing. Meat was very dry; therefore, it was bland. Stick with the chupa cabras and al pastor meats. In addition to tacos, the menu has a lot to offer, including breakfast served all day! (One of these days I’m gonna get a breakfast burrito.) They also have two different salsas that you can choose from, as well as various flavors of Jarritos. There isn’t seating outside of the truck – only a standing table, so not sure if when the weather fares better are when the seats bust out. At least you can park here and eat your grub in your car, which I noticed a few patrons doing. No shame.

Megabites Deli – Tacoma – Menu with Prices – 1201 Pacific Ave, Tacoma

Came by for lunch as I was working nearby. Small little sandwich shop at the ground floor of an office building. They do serve coffee, breakfast, lunch and some grab & go items. Most items on the menu looked pretty good, so I decided to get the “California Wrap”, it’s turkey, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and onions with a spicy mayo. Comes with a side of either bag o’ chips or their popular broccoli salad. The wrap was pretty good, served cold, and good sized. Broccoli salad was actually pretty darn tasty, crisp broccoli, nice dressing…get it! Staff was friendly, pricing is pretty good, takes only a few minutes for them to whip up your order. There’s seats inside and tables outside as well. Or you can do like my coworker did when I saw her down there and get her food to-go and eat her lunch at her desk and stink up the area, thanks. We all love the smell of onions in an office setting. Anyways, it’s a good spot to grab some food, catchy name for a sandwich shop, I would definitely come back.

Grove Coffee – Menu with Prices – 2777 S Gilbert Rd, Chandler

Beautiful church… not sure what all the bad reviews are about. Weve been to this church 3 times as newcomers. The childrens program is great and welcoming. People are very friendly and warm. The messages have been amazing and on point. We also came for the easter service and it was wonderful. Theres lots of seating and the ushers were very helpful on easter. Ample parking and its really nice walking through the pistachio tree grove on the way to the worship service. They have a nice cafe and also ice tea and coffee w a small donation. Our 5 th grader also enjoyed sunday school. I like how the worship center has a lot of windows w light and trees visible instead of it being dark inside. The artist was painting during easter and the theme was a butterfly being born again, as in the resurrection. Mens group seems very active… they recently had a retreat to puerto penasco and have meetings throughout the week. We decided to go to this church from now on after trying 2 others in the area. The children like this one the best as well.

Aki’s Japanese Restaurant Menu with Prices 2505 Hearst Ave C, Berkeley

If you’re looking for a restaurant with a home-y atmosphere, then Aki is the perfect place. There’s a particular magic to the way the warm lights hit each booth during the evening; it’s as if you and whatever company you’re with are at the center of attention, sitting in isolation from everybody around you. It’s a cozy and intimate setting that’s perfect for the often gloomy weather Berkeley has to offer. I’ll admit that for all the beauty in the interior design, Aki’s seating arrangement isn’t entirely the best. I don’t mind the clustered seats next to each other, but the minimal amount of space available for both my backpack and my legs makes me feel cramped after 30mins of sitting down, and the chairs/booths aren’t exactly the most comfortable either. I’ve come here twice already, and I was impressed with the beef stew noodle soup that I ordered. The soup was heavily infused with beef but not to the point where it overpowered everything else. It was quite possibly the best broth I’ve had in recent memory; it didn’t have that diluted flavor I’m normally accustomed to, and it was so warm yet so vibrant that I would call it the star of the dish, but that honor goes to the beef itself which was cooked so well that it felt as if though it practically melted in my mouth. There was minimal chewing involved which is a plus for me. I wouldn’t have enjoyed vigorously chewing a protein whose consistency was in direct opposition to the liquid it was submerged in. It almost feels like a cardinal rule, which I’m glad they understand perfectly well at Aki. Overall, I highly recommend coming to this one of a kind hole-in-the-wall in North Berkeley. It’s well worth viewing the inside of the place and experiencing the feeling of being at home on a cold, rainy day and eating some soup to keep you warm.

American Made Coffee House Menu with Prices 6402 River Rd, Amarillo

Great, unexpected stop on the north side of Amarillo! I didn’t think I would find a great coffee shop this north of town, but this place is a hidden gem! The owner, Chris, could not have been nicer. He happily made my latte with half and half, and I wish I would’ve stopped by later, as the food and snacks look delicious! There’s also plenty of seating if you hang out for a while. I’ll definitely be back when passing through town again! And I’m going to grab some of that banana pudding next time too!

Breezeway Deli & Grill – Menu with Prices – Inside Palmetto Hospital, 7160 W 20th Ave # M130, Hialeah

3 1/2 stars This little Cuban place is in the Palmetto Professional building. It is pretty nondescript with some seating, but they do a large take-out business. I stop here for a cortadito or cafe con leche every time I am in the building. The coffee is excellent. Breezeway has a variety of items for lunch. It is a much better option than other places in the building such as Subway. You can get sandwiches and homestyle Cuban food. I once tried a Cuban Sandwich and was a bit disappointed. It was hardly pressed, the meat was not hot, and the cheese was not melted. Recently I tried some Chicken Noodle Soup and it was very good. The broth was flavorful with lots of noodles and tasty chicken chunks. This is definitely something I would order again. I buy Pastelitos and Coladas for my customerd at Breezeway and the staff enjoys them. Moreover, everything there is very reasonable. Breezeway is a great option for an inexpensive lunch and snacks!

Holy Sticks – Menu with Prices – 351 King St Suite A, Charleston

What a super cute shop! I’m obsessed with dessert waffles! I noticed this place on my way to a Yelp event, but I didn’t have time to stop in. We decided to stop in on a trip downtown. Inside is bright and colorful. There are funny and inspirational quotes along the wall. There’s seating in the front and back. The owner (I didn’t catch her name) was friendly and engaging. You can choose between ice cream or a waffle, then add a dip or glaze, toppings, and drizzle. We decided to go with two waffles. I had glaze, Fruity Pebbles, and cinnamon on mine. My boyfriend had milk chocolate, bacon, and marshmallow drizzle. They were warm and delicious. I hope she adds fresh fruit to the toppings selection. I’ll definitely be back!
