I’ve been here twice now with my husband within a week. The first time we came close to closing so we were told it would be to go only which was totally fine considering the time. I was a little confused by the need for extra sauce till I saw that no water was added while cooking. That’s amazing! It creates more flavor in the noodles, and it’s never dry. Tonight when we came in everybody was nice, and service was really fast. I appreciated how energetic our server was, after we had finished he even asked if we were full. Everything was clean as well, three people worked to clean a table after a large party had left and they were done within minutes. This was truly the best Mongolian BBQ place I’ve been to, and I really hope to continue coming here.

RC Mongolian BBQ – Menu with Prices – 9879 Foothill Blvd E, Rancho Cucamonga

This is a new territory i am exploring. a new job has me out here in the IE. i will be the first to admit that i was not expecting there to be so many excellent food choices out here. when the girl says “lets get dinner”, it usually means “find us a new spot”. through a vague search, i came upon the idea for Mongolian bbq. luckily this place was nearby, and had solid reviews. a quaint little spot in a nondescript shopping center. inside is very simple and looks clean and neat. luckily, i am well-versed in the ways of Mongolian bbq. because other than being ushered to a seat, we received no direction or instruction about how to proceed with our meal. there is a small sign on the host stand that gives their pricing. and i must say, the prices are more than fair. actually, they’re quite low. the meats all looked fresh and well taken care of. the noodles were also expertly cooked and cared for. the array of veggies was clean and tidy. everything looked amazing. the hot food area was well-stocked and looked appetizing. the sauce suggestions were on point and made for some delicious bowl-slurpage. i was not a fan of the meatballs, or a few of the other hot items. but that’s not why you come to a Mongolian bbq. was it the absolute best mongolian i have ever had? no. but, overall, we left with full bellies and a happy wallet. good on ya.

Yanni?s Greek Gyros – Menu with Prices – East Battlefield Road, 3014 S National Ave, Springfield

I took my friend here for lunch to celebrate her birthday, and we were not disappointed. The place is clean and smelled like Greek heaven when we walked in. Our server was pleasant and was able to answer our questions about menu items, which I appreciated. We shared an order of the falafel appetizer, which was hot, crispy, and delicious. We each got our own mixed gyro platter – loaded with generous piles of lamb/beef and chicken, with onion, lettuce, and tomato, with tzaziki and feta on top. Two hot, fresh pitas cut in half were on each side of the platter. The tzaziki sauce was delicious, and I should have asked for more to take with my leftovers. I ate until I was full and still had two lunches’ worth of meat when I was finished. I will definitely be back because there is so much more on the menu that I would like to try. I definitely recommend it!

Golden Camel Mongolian Bar-B-Q – Menu with Prices – 21006 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance

YIKES. I don’t think I’ll ever be coming back here. If you’re looking for mediocre and overpriced Mongolian BBQ, this is your place. The concept of Mongolian BBQ is simple. You make your own bowl with your choice of toppings/meat and then a chef cooks the food for you. First off, this place is a 2-in-1 restaurant and shares a room with Ko-Ryu, which was a bit confusing during my first visit. The room is split in half, so there’s an area for the customers coming in for ramen and another for customers that want Mongolian BBQ. We weren’t greeted by anyone and there wasn’t anyone standing at the grill, so we weren’t sure how to start. We flagged down a server who finally pointed out that we serve and seat ourselves and called for a cook to go to the grill. On to the food… The bowl size we got was large and there were a decent amount of toppings (veggies/meat) to choose from, so that was a plus. However, the food here was really bland and came out extremely greasy. I followed their recommendations for sauce choices and it came out very under seasoned. I’d recommend doubling what they suggest. The meat was tough and didn’t taste like much. The noodles are soft and soggy and have a really strange texture. For ~$10, I expected a lot more than a greasy and bland meal. It was definitely not worth the trip here.

Jasmine Mongolian Bbq – Menu with Prices – 4006 Foothills Blvd, Roseville

Jasmine Mongolian BBQ is located next to Bel Air Market, in the “Brickyard Shopping Center,” in west Roseville. The dining room is modern, clean, spacious and comfortably decorated. Since the restaurant has only been open six days, you can even smell the “newness” of everything. If you’ve never visited Jasmine Mongolian BBQ, – or any other Mongolian barbecue restaurant – the way things work is very simple. You make your selection from the menu, pay for it, and then you’re given a tray, utensils and a large bowl. You make your way down the bar, putting whatever you want into your bowl, and when your bowl is full, or when you’ve finished, it will be taken to the kitchen to be cooked. You truly get to have it “your way,” as you pick out whatever you want. At Jasmine, believe me, there are many choices, in fact there are SO MANY fresh choices, it’s almost hard to decide! After you’re finished adding the final touches to your bowl, a friendly staff member will take your bowl to the kitchen, where your meat and vegetables will be cooked perfectly, and when ready, the bowl will be brought to you with a smile. Because the restaurant has been open only six days, the wok isn’t yet installed in the large open space, behind the food bar, but according to the owner, Paul, it will be installed in the coming week. I went with all four varieties of meat, along with equal portions of rice and noodles, along with a few sticks of tofu for good measure. Veggies included zucchini, cilantro, onion, cabbage, organic spinnich carrot slices, along with water chestnuts. I simply added a small amount of cooking oil, but cooking wine, teriyaki and a variety of other sauces are available. Since this was my first visit to this wonderful restaurant, I wanted to keep things simple, so I could taste the goodness every ingredient. Perfection… simply perfection. The meat was cooked perfectly, as it was juicy and tender, and the flavor was just right. The rice and noodles were perfect, not dry or “gummy” as they tend to be at lesser restaurants. The vegetables were fresh… amazingly fresh, and some of the “snapped” as I bit into them. The kitchen blended it all together, added just enough thickening sauce to make things work, and the whole bowl was a cornucopia of goodness and flavor. You could taste every fresh ingredient, yet the bowl was a symphony of flavor. Delicious! The “mission” of Jasmine Mongolian BBQ is stated on the menu as “fresh, healthy food,” and that is a true statement, as the ingredients are amazing fresh. The food is simply… delicious, and the staff are amazing friendly. West Roseville has been waiting a long time for a superior Mongolian barbecue restaurant, and now we have one, thanks to Jasmine Mongolian BBQ. Welcome to our neighborhood! Italian Creations – Menu with Prices – 16104 Hilliard Rd, Cleveland

My wife and I decided to have Italian Creations Cater our wedding this month and were incredibly happy with our choice to do so! So going back several months, we called around several different catering companies to see what our options were. We had good vibes from talking with the owner of Italian Creations, Ross, who was easy-going on the phone and friendly. Ross worked with us to tailor a bit of what we wanted, and we went in for a tasting. We tried a few different things, and decided on the following: chicken, salmon, lemon-butter topping for the meats, green beans, quinoa-rice, penne pasta, and bread. I should note that while I can’t recall having bad wedding food before, I’ve never really had wedding food that stands out to me. It’s always just kind of been there. But trying Ross’s ‘Italian Creations’, we knew immediately this food would be different and that this was the food we wanted at our wedding. We didn’t ‘settle’ on anything, we knew we found a gem. So fast forward to the day of the wedding… The server (I feel bad but forgot her name!) showed up when Ross said she would, and worked quietly and efficiently to set things up in the food room. We had a very small venue, so were worried we might hear food-set up while the ceremony was taking place. None of that, she was super quiet! Another thing we really appreciated, our server helped with many other areas that weren’t even her responsibility and which we were planning on doing ourselves; operating our popcorn machine, arranging and ‘guarding’ the dessert table, cleaning up dishes, etc. This took a lot of stress off of us and was incredibly helpful. Also our server was very personable and friendly, working with and talking with several of our guests and helpers throughout the day. Now to the food itself. One worry that we were warned about from others was that the food during a tasting is always good, but that the food at the wedding itself might not live up to the standard of the tasting. With the food Italian Creations served this was as far from the truth as possible. My lord, this was honestly some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. While I won’t write a review on every food item that we received, I will say this; Several people stated separately that the chicken, the salmon and the pasta were the best they have ever had before. Not just at a wedding, but in their lives. For myself, this was the best salmon and pasta I’ve ever had, and plan to order these from Italian Creations in the future. Many people asked for the name of the place we got our food ? And finally clean up was quick, efficient and didn’t get in the way of any of the party. We had a caricature artist positioned just a few feet away from the food table, and our server worked very well to make sure nothing was in the way and did not disrupt any of the art. My hats off to Ross, his chefs, and our wonderful server. Our wonderful day was made all the more wonderful by them, and we sincerely appreciate the wonderful service.

Joy Teriyaki – Menu with Prices – 9915 NE Hazel Dell Ave 318 C, Vancouver

Thought I’d take my daughter out for a birthday lunch. She was really wanting some Mongolian beef and I was in the mood for some chicken teriyaki. First red flag… as soon as we entered the lady behind the counter looked miserable and impatient. As I looked over the menu she kept tapping the counter like I was taking too long to order. Ok…note taken. Hurry up and order. We made our order then sat down at a corner table. Everything seemed clean. The decor looked nice. So, I figured, well maybe the food will be better than the service. The food came pretty quick. Almost too fast….like it was already premade and then warmed up fast to serve. My chicken was warm, but there were some dry pieces that made me question the freshness of the chicken. It tasted “ok” but not the greatest. The meal came with 2 scoops of rice and a side salad with bland ice burg lettuce and a few shredded carrots. My daughter’s Mongolian beef meal looked like it came from the lunch menu. Super small. The price was not a lunch price however. I paid over $10 for that meal which is strange because the online menu said it was only $9.75 Hmmm…. So yeah, the Mongolian beef dish was really small. The meat tasted good but was tough. There were about 3 little green pepper pieces and 1 small carrot slice. Seriously, it was not worth it. Just a big disappointment all around. Since that meal…I’ve been feeling sick and my stomach has been gurgling all day. I should of Yelped this place before I went, but I forgot my phone at the time. Ughhhhh…never again.

Mexican Villa East – Menu with Prices – 1337 E Sunshine St, Springfield

I just finished eating there, and the food was good. The service I received however was not what I expected. I had lunch alone in a booth and there were three surrounding tables. All those tables got checked on 5-6 times, the waiter made sure to have conversation/contact with them, and was super friendly…..I however did not get one ounce of that type of service. I was checked on once when I was pretty much finished with my food and asked if I wanted more water. I politely declined and she brought me my bill. Thatâ??s it. I felt so unwelcome there that it really got to me. I also politely asked for a manager and told her how I was treated compared to every table around me. She was nice about it and apologized and said she wanted anyone and everyone to feel welcome there, however, that was not the case for me. The manager said she would speak with her about it. I hope they treat people like me better. I was going to give it one star but because the manager was nice and the food wasnâ??t terrible I gave it two stars. I hope everyone else has a better experience than I did.

Kim’s Asian Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 2091 River Rd, Eugene

It’s got its kinks, and maybe it’ll be ironed out over time. Asian fusion isn’t what I would call this place, they serve Thai and Vietnamese. Also on the menu has a pseudo Mongolian grill which use to be located next door, but honestly if it’s no AYCE Mongolian grill it doesn’t matter. I left this place feeling as confused as to whether or not I liked it, the serving sizes are good the presentation is decent, but the flavor seemed to be lacking, the spirit of both Thai and Vietnamese food was not apparent. I did not find any of aromatics or spices that are so prevalent in most cuisine of those regions, it was as if I was sitting in an emulation of what the food looks like, but none of the flavor. Don’t expect to be blown away coming here. As far as the staff goes they where all friendly and accommodating, we asked for fried tofu in the pad see ew, and they did a great job with that, so props to you. It was nice to walk into a freshly renovated space and it was very clean so they had that going for them, but the ambience was ruined with the noises of Linkin Park playing. I’m not sure how to end this post so I’m just gonna say try it yourself. I probably won’t be returning though.

Kahn mongolian grill – Menu with Prices – 920 Pleasant Grove Blvd, Roseville

Very upset… I post a review for this restaurant a few hours ago, but since then, I have been very ill, hence the edit. I am trying to be fair to the restaurant; the style of self serve and cooking does have an obvious possibility of food born illness inherently… so going into it has always made me weary. Maybe all my positive experiences with Mongolian grill cooking has made me overly trusting, but I really was quite shocked to become sick from eating at a Mongolian grill restaurant. Evidently, for this food type to work, the grill has to be very hot(killing any germs) and this restaurant didn’t have it at a temperature needed to cook food fully. (I know this because the food took twice as long to cook as any other Mongolian bbq and wasn’t as done..) Also, alarmingly, the meat wasn’t frozen, it squishes with the tongs (It is cooked before consumption but it still seems a bit odd… and unsanitary to have it out long enough to defrost. Most places would fix that.) And I have a sneaking suspicion the minced garlic has been mixed with another oil because it had an odd taste, not what I wanted for my food. And possibly part of what made me hesitate to begin eating. I wish I had just listened to my gut and gone to Panera bread. I am very upset that the restaurant made me sick, and the two people I went with had similar experiences…. so I wouldn’t recommend eating here. I hope the owners fix these errors because I quite love Mongolian bbqs and the location and waitstaff all seem decent.

Mon Amour Coffee & Wine – Menu with Prices – 234 W 238th St, The Bronx

It saddens me to have to write a negative review. However, after my most recent experience here on a recent Sunday afternoon I was left extremely disappointed with how my friend and I were treated. I have been frequenting this spot since its inception four years ago. I don’t consider myself a full blown regular but I do visit quite often. On this particular day it just appeared as if our table was being completely ignored while the other tables were being tended to and checked on. I had to call one of the servers to notify them we were ready to order after about 10 minutes and she politely said to give her one minute. After two minutes another server took our order. At one point I had to ask the same server for more hot water since our table was continuously bypassed. After about 20 minutes server finally came to our table to ask if we wanted anything else. My friend specifically asked for an iced coffee with extra milk once she was done with her glass of Moscato to which the server replied ‘Okay’. We waited…and waited…and waited. The same server proceeded to food prep while another server was preparing drinks. We figured he was also preparing my friend’s iced coffee order. Instead he finished the drinks which were for another table and proceeded to dry off silverware and plates. The other server finished her food prep and then headed down to the cellar to bring up gallons of juice. Although the iced coffee was not included on our check apparently she either forgot or was not paying attention. I do take into consideration that many of the servers here are extremely young and still learning about the customer service business. However, as of late, I personally haven’t felt a very warm or welcoming atmosphere when I have visited alone. The food and drinks are great and continue to be as they expand their menu. I just feel the customer service has declined and this last experience proved it. It wasn’t particularly busy at all so I’m really confused as to why we got the ghost treatment for most of our stay. Not really sure if I will return again. It really is too bad. It is otherwise a fantastic spot! I just think staff needs a bit more training.

Live Oak Cafe – Menu with Prices – 2220 Bath St, Santa Barbara

Terrible service from our server, Cesar. My family and I are on vacation and came in to this cafe after reading the reviews. The hostess was lovely and sat us and brought us our menus and coffee right away. After that, crickets. We waited for a little too long and no one was coming to our table to take our order. Finally, I started to look around and made eye contact with Cesar. He walked over to us and I said we were ready to order and I wasn’t sure who our server was. I asked if it was him, and he said yes. So we proceeded to order. He was not nice or kind at all. In fact, he looked annoyed or bothered by us. I ordered for our kids, then myself, and he asked me what side I wanted with my meal. I didn’t know my meal came with a side so I asked him what my choices were. I kid you not, these were his exact words: “On top.” It took me a few seconds to realize that he was telling me my choices were on top of the menu and I had to read them myself. I thought that was kind of rude, but proceeded to read and decided on what I wanted, then finished my order. At this point, I wanted to just pay for our coffee and leave, but we decided to stay since we had to get on the road soon. A couple came in a few minutes afterward and sat behind us. The man was also asked what side he wanted and without the man even asking what his choices were, Cesar politely, pleasantly gave him his options of potatoes, hash browns, etc. I was furious at this point. He obviously had a problem with us. He never asked if we wanted more coffee, didn’t ask us if our kids wanted drinks (so they just went without), and only came to ask if everything was okay as he brought us our bill. We were treated rudely and were ignored the whole time. To be clear, this was all Cesar. We are an interracial family and I have a feeling that might have been a reason why he didn’t like us. Either that, or he assumed we weren’t going to tip him well, so he decided to ignore us and be rude. He was wrong. We are great tippers and a nice family who don’t give anyone trouble. Our children were not loud or obnoxious and neither were we. I am so disappointed by this experience. I wish we had a different server. I didn’t want to leave a tip at all, but my husband left him $2 anyway. Cesar, on our $40 bill, had you been kind, we would have left a $10-$12 tip, FYI. Please be kind to people. You should not be in the service industry if you are going to treat people this way. I hope that moving forward you treat people with kindness. I was a server for 3 years and was always kind and cheery with all my customers, no matter what age, size, or color they were. Be kind. It costs nothing.

Bowlero Pasadena – Menu with Prices – 3545 E Foothill Blvd, Pasadena

I bought a groupon online so myself and my boyfriend decided to go on a Saturday afternoon to get our bowling on. It’s a nice place, though I think the Arcadia one is much nicer (bigger arcade, nicer bar, 2x as many lanes). Anyways, we were assigned a lane and wanted to get some drinks and food but our server never came. So, we decided to just start bowling and order whenever our server came. We bowled for 45 minutes without ever even seeing a server come our way. When we were on our 3rd game, I decided to ask an employee near the front desk about ordering some food. He said he would tell our server. Another 15 minutes went by and no one to take our order. The server for the group across from us was closing out the bill for them and I asked her if we could order something. She said she’s not our server and would tell the server assigned to our lane to come. Since we were waiting so long, she said she’d take our order and tell our server to put it in. She asked for our credit card to put in their system. After OVER an hour, our “server,” Matthew, finally came. We didn’t want to order beers at that point so just decided to get Nachos (2/5 for taste). He gave us back our credit card. When we were finished with our bowling, he gave us the bill and asked for our card AGAIN. Didn’t we just give it to them? He said the original time was to just put it on “file.” I don’t get that.Anyways, long story short, we’re not coming back. Horrible service, mediocre bowling. bowlero is supposed to be a higher end bowling alley but I didn’t get that impression. I’d rather just go to AMF bowling.
