Under min förlossning med sonen så var förlossningsläkaren en man och när han skulle undersöka mig hade han med sig en manlig student, båda var omkring 30 år (och för övrigt attraktiva ). Men även om jag i det skedet hade fått epidural och just då inte hade ont, kunde jag faktiskt inte bry mig mindre om läkare, barnmorska och student var kvinna eller man, inte heller min sambo brydde sig om det. Vi var bara fokuserade och lyckliga över vår ankommande bebis!
Åh vad härligt att höra! Jag brydde mig inte heller om det och har inte gjort det nån gång när jag var inne på gynmottagningen heller. Men min sambo blev lite överraskad att det fanns manliga bm och förlossningsläkare och då slog det mig att läkaren som kom in på min förlossning var kvinna. Han har aldrig sett en manlig bm eller förlossningsläkare.
Jag har fyra pojkar här hemma och väntar nu en liten bebis som vi inte vet könet på (den ville inte visa) och jag bryr mig varken om manliga barnmorskor eller gynekologer. Eller studenter heller för den delen… Jag tror jag blivit van. När jag fick mina tvillingpojkar så var det faktiskt en barnmorskestuderande som förlöste dom små. Hon var helt underbar och jag tror (hoppas) att hon upplevde förlossningen som väldigt bra och fin (med bajs o allt).

Jag tänker lite som så att det är sjuksköterskor med erfarenhet som ska bli bm. Det medicinska har de med sig. De måste bara förlösa ett visst antal barn innan de får bli bm. Om jag skulle få en manlig bm hade jag nog inte brytt mig om heller:)

Jag håller med en av kommentarerna här ovan att det kan finnas diverse anledningar till att man vill välja bort en manlig läkare/barnmorska (tex om man varit utsatt för sexuellt våld). I övrigt tycker jag det känns som ett steg tillbaka att kunna välja bort en läkare/barnmorska eenbart pga dennes kön. Det är ju en annan sak om personen ger en dålig vård/behandling, men bara för att det är en man. Om man vänder på det finns det ju även situationer i vården där män är väldigt blottade, ska de då kunna välja bort en kvinnlig läkare/sköterska (tex en urolog eller kvinnligt vårdbiträde när de behöver hjälp med personlig hygien?). Har full förståelse för att alla kanske inte älskar eniga med min åsikt och det är helt ok. Under mina båda graviditeter har jag haft manliga gynekologer och förlossningsläkare och har inte ens reflekterat över detta då de alltid bemött mig väl och gett bra vård. Det för mig har varit det viktigaste!!

Har aaaalltid fått studenter på aaaaallt vad undersökningar heter. Från vanliga koller på skolan, cellprover, tandläkare och förlossningen.
Jag fick gå på typ 9(?) överburenhetskontroller. Och de kontrollerna där kvinnor undersökte vaginalt gjorde SATANS ont alltså! Helsike! De sista gjordes av en yngre man och en äldre. De kändes däremot inte alls. Lite konstigt kändes det kanske, men när det väl var gjort var jag mer trygg med männen en surhönorna till kvinnor. För att dra alla de som gjorde de andra kollerna över en och samma kam! Haha! Männen var dessutom de enda som ville hjälpa oss med igånsättning och de fick bråka (!!!!) med barnmorskorna trots att de var läkare själva! Vi fick igånsättning på dag 18, men BM ville på dag 21. (Om ens det, naturligt ska visst vara bäst i alla lägen)
Tänker på det där med att bajsa på sig och det, för mig spelar det ingen roll huruvida det är en överläkare/student/kvinna eller man i rummet. Det är ju naturligt. Jag fes under krystvärkarna och slutade krysta! Då sa sambon åt mig att skärpa mig ”vem fan bryr sig Sara?!”

Jag har haft manliga gynekologer men aldrig en manlig barnmorska. Jag försöker tänker att är man barnmorska på ett bb, så har man ju antagligen sett allt redan. Även lite bajs i samband med förlossning. Och en student har garanterat läst om det, om denne inte har upplevt det själv ännu.
Angående studenter så var jag emot det på första förlossningen. Precis som du skriver så visste man ju inte vad som väntade. Under andra förlossningen hade vi en student med och det är nog det bästa med den förlossningen! Förutom att det kom ut en bebis då såklart 😉 men hon lämnade nästan aldrig vårt rum (om vi själva inte bad om det), såg till att jag alltid hade vatten/saft och kom med smörgås om jag ville ha. Sambon blev försedd med kaffe. Det kändes bra att ha henne med nästan hela tiden och hon tog verkligen hand om mig 🙂 jag var lugn av henne. Sen att hon mätte bebisens längd fel när han var ute är en annan sak haha! Hon fick det till 53 cm. På bvc en vecka senare var han bara 50 😛
Förövrigt så var jag på rul imorse! Som en uppföljning på bikarbonatstestet som sa flicka, så trodde barnmorskan idag att det är en pojk 😛 <3

Jag har haft både manliga gynekologer och förlossningsläkare under mina två graviditeter och de har varit precis lika bra som de kvinnliga. Helt ärligt har jag inte ens reflekterat över att de är män utan för mig är de läkare. Jag håller med personen som kommenterade innan att de kan finnas personer med särskilda anledningar till att ej vilja ha manliga läkare (offer för sexuellt våld tex) men för oss andra tycker jag inte det behöver finnas valmöjlighet såvida personen utför sitt jobb korrekt. Tänk om männen kan välja bort kvinnliga läkare, skötetskor? Och ja, det finns situationer då de kan känna sig blottade i vården med! Känns som att det vore att ta ett steg tillbaka. Men det är min åsikt och jag förstår att inte alla delar den och det är helt ok.

Har ingen preferens när det kommer till kön på den som förlöser mitt barn. Jag önskar enbart att den som förlöser gör sitt allra bästa vilket inte borde vara avhängt kön på person (?) precis som det inte är i någon annan profession.
Om man sedan av särskilda omständigheter bär på trauma som av den anledningen gör att man mår medicinskt bättre (mindre ångest mm) av att ha en barnmorska av ett specifikt kön så tycker jag med all respekt att den personen kan få lov att välja.
Självklart inte! Jag är säker på att en man gör det lika bra som en kvinna. Men när man är helt utblottad som man är vid en förlossning så borde ALLA ha rätt att välja oavsett vad man varit med om förut och oavsett hur löjliga preferenser man har!!! Det vore sjukt annars! Att visa sitt underliv för någon man inte känner är ju inget någon av oss är särskilt vana vid antar jag.

Helt sant! Och jag tvivlar inte alls på att män skulle göra sitt jobb sämre. Det är bara att en förlossning känns för privat för mig. Helst hade jag velat ta hand om alltihopa själv om det hade gått 🙂
Jag ville inte ha manliga och kan inte ha det fortfarande då jag lever med ångest efter upplevelser i min barndom. .

och ja. jag har haft några jättebra kvinnliga läkare också. Som varit toppen! Men oftast är det de negativa som man kommer ihåg..

Jag själv fick åka in på gynakuten i Göteborg en gång.. Då fick jag 2 manliga läkare (2 undersökningar och 2 olika läkare) och jag tycker faktiskt att manliga läkare är lite mer försiktiga. Lyssnar mer och ah. Var även hos en läkare när jag blev gravid med mitt andra barn på grund av komplikationerna och lite förlossningsrädsla, och hade även en manlig läkare då med. Han var toppen! Jag föredrar faktiskt manliga läkare då de kvinnliga jag träffat varit mer hårdhänta, inte alls lyssnat och så jäkla otrevliga.
Kan också vara så, att det handlar om erfarenhet. Min första förlossning var en mardröm med de barnmorskorna jag hade. och sen när jag fick åka in igen någon dag efter min första förlossning för en förlossningsskada så hade jag en kvinnlig barnmorska som var det värsta jag var med om. Då hade jag en manlig läkare där inne också som till sist bad denna kvinna lämna rummet.
Fy så hemskt!!! Lider verkligen med dig! Tur att du har bra erfarenhet av dom manliga läkarna i alla fall!! 🙂
Jag trodde att jag skulle bry mig om sånt inför min första förlossning o kände mig först lite obekväm när jag fick en manlig förlossningsläkare (eller en av dem var män). Men han var bäst av dem alla som var involverade. Så lugn och det gjorde inte alls ont när han undersökte en, han lyssnade på en osv. Honom fick jag dock inte ha vid själva slutskedet vilket jag tyckte var väldigt synd.
Jag har inte brytt mig alls om gynekologer och förlossningsläkare faktiskt. Jag fick lära mig tidigt att man fick ta det som fanns för min barn- och ungdomsmottagning när jag var yngre hade sällan en kvinnlig gynekolog tillgänglig. Så det bryr jag mig inte så mycket om, men barnmorskan som ska vara där hela tiden, till och med när jag är HELT naken i badet… Där börjar det bli lite känsligare känner jag.

Så som jag var vid förlossningen skulle jag nog inte bry mig ett dugg om vem som var där så länge ungen kom ut
